    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.

    Stop your server, move your server.log out of the craftbukkit directory. Start your server, let it load completely, then stop it. A new server.log will be created, please upload it to http://pastie.org or http://pastebin.com and post the link in the thread.

    So i want to use this on my server, but none of the download links take me anyway. Release goes to a 404 and the Dev goes to an "unknown server"....

    where can i find this??

    There is a dev build of towny that is useful for 1.6.2, it lets ridden horses use pressure plates if the rider is allowed.

    So since I've installed Towny, players are complaining there is a drastic drop in Hostile Mob spawning in the "wild"... What's causing this?
    I changed this:
    # Globally remove living entities in all worlds that have their flag set.
    world_mob_removal_entities: ''
    I see nothing in any of the files about mob spawning or removal, except this:
    # Remove living entities within a town's boundaries, if the town has the mob removal flag set.
    town_mob_removal_entities: Monster,WaterMob,Flying,Slime
    What is going on? I'm so tired of trying to find what's going on here and coming up empty handed.

    Towny won't touch the mobs that spawn in the wilderness, my guess is that a portion of the regularly spawning mobs are spawning in towns which are then removed immediately. This could have the effect of the wilderness showing less mobs. Turn up your server's spawn rate in the bukkit.yml file.

    I've already tried that once before and players have said they've seen no improvements. XD
    But I will try again and continuing my digging if Towny isn't supposed to touch the wild mobs. Though I can't help but question that when it does have that "Globally remove living entities in all worlds" setting... As well as the "remove living entities within town boundaries"

    The world removal list is to remove things from teh world, like troublesome squid, or endermen.

    I figured as much and there was a list there before I removed it. Dont recall it was now... But somehow still struggling with spawns? I dont' see it, but players apparently do. I'll find it... :\ If it's not Towny, it's gotta be something... Even though it didn't start till I added Towny or Orebus..(whatever) but that got removed.

    Unfortunately, however, I have the problem can reduce the player in the wilderness.

    I have it legalized, they can not break down dirt or stone, but they can cut down (Wood Cutting)-_-

    I am using Bukkit version 1.6.2 and I am using Towny I keep trying to make a town for testing. After I changed the town block size to 16x16, I keep getting this long error.     I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it's Spigot, since Spigot is a modification/customization of Bukkit and as it says on line 390:
    1. 2013-08-18 21:10:24 [SEVERE] [Towny Warning] Check your CraftBukkit version as we do not test on custom/old builds.

    Did you edit it after the plugin already being used ? Or did you add the plugin, start server, stop it, then edit it ?

    From your config: town_block_size: 16x16 , this needs to be just 16.

    Your pex and logblock are also erroring, you will need to fix at least your pex setup for towny to function.

    Your towny error was caused by changing town_block_size from 16 to 16x16.

    The pex and logblock errors just arent helping anything.

    Hello, i'm trying to figure out how to force a permission being turned on for cities. I want that "switch" is forced turned on for F/A/O. I changed in the config that new created towns have that flagged as on but you can always just /town set perm switch off. But also when i tried to remove the permission it doesnt work. I tried "-towny.command.town.set.perm" in Pex and in the TownyPermissions file but both down work.

    Can anyone help me with this problem?

    If you don't want anything to be protected as a switch then just delete all the ID's from the switch line in the config.

    (Permissions: Essential Groupmanager, TownyAdvanced 0.84)

    Hi, I want to set up a server.

    The user shouldn't be able to build in the wild, but can farm there.

    Now i have the problem, that they can't plant any seeds nor harvesting them.
    Planting and harvesting trees works fine. I also gave the permission to build farmland with

    - towny.wild.build.60 #Farmland

    I also gave the permissions for using seeds and wheat:

    - towny.wild.destroy.295 # seeds
    - towny.wild.itemuse.295
    - towny.wild.switch.295
    - towny.wild.build.295

    - towny.wild.build.296 #wheat
    - towny.wild.destroy.296
    - towny.wild.itemuse.296
    - towny.wild.switch.296

    But Towny always mention that I'm not allowed to build/destroy there.
    Other mods works fine, but not those vanilla items for getting food (seeds, melonseeds, pumpkinseeds, carrots, potatoes)

    harvesting cacti, flowers and sugar canes works without any permission, but planting flowers or cane not (even with permissions), while planting cacti works (without permissions)

    Because doesnt have a townyperms.yml file, whereas does, i would like to be able to set up specific ranks, but am unable to.
