    Yay! Finally can transfer my server with dozen of Realms zones to CraftBukkit ^_^

    And some suggestions: make the ability to place blocks and the ability to pour buckets as different abilities, like "build" and "flood" or something, it will be very useful

    Btw, if you someday implement blocking TNT in chosen zones (not for a full world, I know it's done already), I'll be happiest server owner ever ^^

    nomobs feature in zones would be good. Integration with iConomy so player when players are able to set their own zones there can be an in game charge. I should have a dev map up in the coming weeks. I will try to test at that point. Thanks for the work! This brings me 5 steps closer to my ideal server.

    I put out a small update, fixing a few issues and adding the ability to enable/disable map radius limitation. See OP for changes.

    This plugin is almost perfect! I've got one big feature request that I (as a brainless user) think could be implemented pretty easy.

    I need admins to be able to venture beyond the circular border...
    You could create a permission called 'epicborders.ignoreBorders' and w/e groups have that can go beyond
    I can offer whatever help I can, I need this feature...

    We keep our regular users in a giant circle, while we build awesomeness beyond, I then use mcedit to move those awesome things closer. Right now we achieve this by building so far out that its nearly impossible for non-admins to find us, heh.

    Please please please allow other plugins to access a method for your area location. IE a method that is passed a location and you return the name of the area, or, even better, a comma dileneated list of permissions for the current area. Of course, the method would need to receive the player then, but no biggy, you'd also need players to be able to add custom permissions...

    Everyone wants every plugin to obey their area protection plugin, but we've never had a good way to tell what area a person is in. It'd be greatly appreciated if you could do this, as it's pretty much exactly what PuzzlePillars needed in Hmod.

    An interface for other plugins is in the road map, as I have a chat plugin coming up that will change chat rooms based on current region. So this is coming at some point.

    Once I fix some efficiency stuff in my zones file, I intend to get a few conversion scripts set up for everybody.

    Thanks so much for this plugin! I have been looking to implement this server design for some time now. What I have is a spawn zone in the middle of two other zones, on being PVP enable the other PVE. However, with the PVP side, I want there to only be a small passage in which the players can walk into the zone through. What I have set here is all the serperate zones. However, the zone surrounding all the main zones (Spawn, PVP, and PVE) is preventing me from allowing people through that passage into the PVPZone.I am sure I have the parent and chil zones messed up somewhere.

    Once again, thanks so much for the great plugin! Any help is appreciated!

    It only uses groups for permissions or player names can be used too?

    So if you allow admins permission to build, destroy, and enter a zone, does that mean no other group can enter or build or destroy in a zone?

    If you have the config file set to false for the three setting: build, destroy, and entry, yes, it means no one else can enter or build. The congfig settings set up the permissions for any group that isn't specified in the zone.txt.

    Both groups and player names, but this is changing to be much more streamlined in 0.3 stay tuned for the release, today.

    Version 0.3 is upon us!

    Updates Include, but are not limited to
    • Revamped permissions
    • Revamped parent/child relationships
    • Refined "Point Within Zone" detection
    • Reloading the server won't cause a crash now
    • Ability to ignore permissions
    • Ability to ignore map radius

    edit: So, I updated bukkit to the latest build, then updated all plugins that needed to be updated, including this. I just place the version 0.3 JAR in, started the server up, and the zones were not working. I would not get enter messages or exit, and I could go to zones that I declared I didn't have permission in. I then tried adding the permissions using the "epiczones.<zonetag>.<flag>" method. That did nothing. I then reloaded version 0.2 and the zones now work again, even if I get spammed by enter messages.

    Just letting you know! Thanks nonetheless.

    Same issue here. I checked the server log, nothing mentioning EpicZones

    The zones.txt file format has changed. Verify your file against the one in the op. New column of tag. Permissions and parent are gone now.

    For the pvp tags to work, do you have to have pvp set to tue in the server properties file?

    Pvp nomobs and regen do not work yet.
    But yes in order for it to work you will have to enable it in your server.properties
