    Description:

    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Well, it shouldn't be any different. You only need to implement the interface of the block which looks much like the the one in MCP. You can look at KSlopes and see how I did it.
    Yes, I was worried about that myself, but turned out fine (I think Notch somehow fixed it at some point.)

    Hi done everything said on this topic all runs no errors.
    But when I try to craft the blocks I can see them but I cant take them out of of the crafting menu/square.
    Has anyone any ideas whats wrong?

    Yes, had problem with DropBonus myself. You need to bug the author to make it able to handle new blocks.

    what can i say i love it! and so does all on my server too! if only you could or the aouther of fancypack could convert it would be a dream

    FancyPack and Pistons *drewl* well i hope you go far this is what i've been waiting for!

    PS. i don't know what they mean it goes corrupt everything is working perfect on my server no crash no errors flawless.

    Yes probably.

    I guess Notch will add those Pistons soon anyway. If you remove the META-INF folder but run it without changing the command line, it will say its "corrupted", but if you run it with ItemCraft it works, at least it should work.

    For those of you who can't seem to get the block out of the craft table, try putting the "KSlopes.jar" plugin in the plugins folder, this should do the trick but if not... The rest, itemcraft.jar and itemcraft.txt, goes into the main craftbukkit folder. You MUST delete the "Meta-inf" from "craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar" or it won't work, also you must start with a moddified .bat (see the main post on how to).

    i used jar-viev,nigeria, online jar editors i unpacked and repacked as jar whith har creators
    everytime its corrupt, im banging my head againts the wall here whith that...allso im a noob when it comes to java :D

    nope.. same as allways, cant take them out of the crafting table, and my structures whith slopes imported via mcedit do not posses the slopes/or if they do server crashes

    how to delete the meta inf and not get a corrupt msg?

    was waiting for something like that already very long :)
    Had some trouble with 0.2, couldn't get it work, but with 0.3 too, because my minecraftserver-folder-name was too long i think or maybe because of the spaces or the hyphen. It was called "minecraft updated-copy" so in the cmd it said:
    "18:04:07 [INFO] Error autocreating startup file C:\Users\[Username]\Desktop\mine
    craft%20updated%20-%20Kopie\plugins\ItemCraft\startup.txt"
    just wanted to tell u about that maybe you can fix it later ;)

    But i have one question.
    How can i geve the items to me?
    The id's on the mod side of Kaevator won't work with /item or /give and i can also not craft them. (in the cmd it sais now:
    "18:10:03 [INFO] ItemCraft 0.2
    18:10:03 [INFO] KSlopes 0.1.2: 45/45 blocks and 225/225 recipes added."
    so i think it is succesfull loaded.

    i Think i expressed me a bit wrong.
    I got it work by making the name shorter of the server folder.
    It sais now:

    But my problem is now i don't know how to craft them, because the recipes, shown on Kaevator's mod-side won't work and i also can't give them with a command to me like /give or /item. :/
    Mayby thats because i didn't really understand the secon part of your introduction from the startup documentation down. So at the moment in my startup.txt there is the standart options:
    "config usedefaults
    plugin KSlopes.jar"
    and in the plugin folder the KSlopes.jar

    I have see source of Kslopes.jar and i try make same for morestairs.

    But i have a doubt on this line :

    I got it now by adding the modloader to the client but i am still havin a small problem ^^
    What are the id's of the new Kslopes?
    as default they are at his side:

    but somehow i can't give them with those id's...
    even if i add that to the startup.txt before or under the Kslow.jar :/

    3 is the number of stairs produced and 0 is the data (metadata in MCP) which is used if you have multiple subtypes of a block e.g. logs, wool and stairs.

    KSlopes uses the same default values, so you don't really need to define anything extra unless you want to remove some blocks or have chosen different values than default on Kaevator's mod.

    A little Question. When a User doesnt have Slope installed on his client, can he join and play like normal? He just cant craft the new Items? Or cant he join at all?

    So, if you changed this back into a plugin that I slap into the plugin folder with kslopes, what would be causing this :


    Is that still a "needing to delete the meta" file error? If so, I still can't start my server on my remote host if I do that.

    What does the server say at startup?

    Not sure, maybe KSlopes started before Itemcraft and that's why its complaining. Try adding this:
    depend: ItemCraft
    into plugin.yml inside KSlopes.jar

    This may be caused by the fact that I am forced to rename the craftbukkit from the snapshot to just plain craftbukkit.jar.
