What is this new phone-home stuff useful for... our IP/port specifically?

 

Usage tracking. I will never publish any server's info. Just for seeing what people are using. I wouldn't even join a server based off the list

Version 1.6.8 changelog issue: "-Sends minor info (bukkit version, vanishnopacket version, server ip/port)"
This needs to be an option or removed.
Code like this has got many plugins a bad rep, I like this plugin so I'm asking now before that happens. Make it optional or remove it.
Sending data else where is not something that should be allowed in plugins.

 

As I stated in the ticket response, it is an option and the changelog clearly stated that. Please stop misrepresenting information. The very next lines after your quote state how to disable it

Ok, that's not very descriptive. Can you answer these questions

1) Are there any errors in console at startup or when you try the commands?

2) What does it say when you try a command?

3) What permissions have you given yourself, and what permissions plugin are you using if any? Are you op?

 

I'm an op, theres no errors and it says nothing when i do a command.

 

Download and install PermTest - http://dl.phozop.net/PermTest/PermTest.jar - and let me know what happens when you say /permtest vanish.vanish

Love this plugin but could you add an option to hide log out messages.
It hides someone when they log in but it doesnt hide their log out.
It confuses people when they just see

Name 1 has disconnected!
Name 1 has disconnected!
Name 1 has disconnected!

 

This will be addressed

Could you also add an option to hide yourself from the /playerlist in Essentials because their's no point in hiding your log in if people can do /playerlist

Changes:
Added /np and /nf aliases for /vanish toggle nopickup/nofollow.
-They won't interfere if another plugin already uses /np or /nf
Did I mention fakequit and fakejoin also toggle your vanish status.Not actually new, I think I forgot it earlier.
-DOES allow you do multiple fakejoin/fakequit resulting in multiple announces
--might change this in later versions, or make it a config option
Bugfixes
-dynmap integration adjustment. Likely wasn't actually a problem
-Correct announcements on join/quit/fakejoin/fakequit

 

What about the "tab" issue? Is it fixed?

 

I was testing earlier, vanished players weren't shown in the tab list. Technically there can be more work done in terms of having the tab list reflect whatever the last message about your joining/leaving was. But for now, if you're vanished, you're off the list.

 

But if I tab when i'm invisible I'm still on the tab list

 

You're still on your tab list.

Any news on the update for hiding log out?

 

If your last action was a fake quit, or you used the silent join feature and never announced a join, it will not announce your quit.

 

but can you just make the opposite of silentjoin. i want it to be just like that

 

So, you're online, showing up in the tab-playerlist, and then suddenly poof you're not without warning?

 

No i wouldnt show in the player list from the beginning because of silent join... but then people would know i was there if they see "has left the game"

 

This already works in 1.6.9
