Plugin category: fun, role-play Suggested name: TurretTowers What I want: Admin-spawned endercrystals shooting configurable ammunition at the nearest player's location (fireball, ghast-fireball , ignited tnt , both type of wither heads -> [the blue one is much slower], arrow, snowball) Theese crystals should have customizable amount of HP (if they're used as defensive structures, they shouldn't break by a snowball etc.) If possible, some white or purple firework effect on destruction. As a reward, some experience. (Maybe an engine mode that makes it shoot at mobs ?) Towers with theese ender crystals could be set up, and be used as a PvE (or by groups, PvP) tower, defending the enemy's or zombies' base. I also have another wish, which is to not be zone-restricted, i mean the ability to build towers in the middle of nowhere to look like a dungeon or sort of thing. And not only in the battlegrounds. Ideas for commands: I hink the most simple way of spawning theese by spawn via command, and looking at a block you wish your crystal to be at (this part done in ender-crystalizer), and choose the type of ammunition the crystal fires by right clicking on it. (this click thing might be difficult, i know it's an entity and not a block) Ideas for permissions: It don't have to use any , but only ops should be able to spawn a turretcrystal, and change what it fires. Note: I don't know if this is even possible, but i've seen much more difficult plugins...
exactly, but not to the player, to the block / turret / endercrystal ecrystal would be the best beacuse it can be "killed" or deactivated naturally and they also look cool
Id like this idea but This seem like this would be a epic project to make So I would take this up with some one private and add teams like capture the flag etc just and idea go around and message people that m plugins that what I did

I was thinking of creating an League of Legends Inspired plugin a while back... that would have had this in it. I hope you find a dev to pick this up!

I wasn't looking for one, but i will have to check that one out.... I was more interested on making one with the full deal Turrets, inhibs minions, Nexus, etc.... Off topic, Have you noticed the "Tahg"?
If we're making a plugin that looks like a LoL based battleground with attack/defense and turrets, that will be awesome. I only have one wish, which is to don't be zone restricted. I mean giving the possibility to build turrets in the middle of nowhere too, to look like a dungeon or something like that Nope. Kodfod As i've seen, you've made some plugins. And i was thinkig about the turrets in LoL have a quite big amount of hp. So the question is that how much are you able to modify an endercrystal's hp? Beacuse if they'll be really used as defensive structures, they shouldn't be destroyed by a snowball, should they?
It's not hard to add Hp to a an endercrystal (however calculating the damage from weapons and such would be a bit more of a task with enchantments and such.). The HP amount could be an option to set. (config/command)
Can't you just ignore them, and calculate with simple, non-enchanted weapons? Forexample no-one will go and kill an endercrystal with a sword in close range, which shoots you, and blows up into your face upon death. So if you can, save your time and calculate with simple data . On the other hand the bow's stats may matter, forexample the Power enchantments. But i think this is the only one.
That's a good point..... But knowing me I would run in there and whack it with a sword. More fun ^_^ Also, would the tower shots follow the player (Like LoL's turrets) or Aim for the location of the player when it shoots? (like ghasts)
I think the shots should be avoidable, so it should shoot just like ghasts. it's even easier to do i guess (But if you can do the following projectile thing too, it can be configurable .)

I know a solution how the turret could shot at the player, and not the location. Death Beam. Yeah so the crystal would also have a firing mode which can't be dodged, which is solved by the beam that heals the enderdragon. What if this beam effect would hit the player and damage it every second I guess this is not so hard to solve,(as it's just an effect and a player damage event hope you can do it) and then it would exactly like the turrets in LoL. But i want your opinion about this before uploading to the OP. Well just the sound of the "Death Beam" seems 20% cooler. Not sure how getting the beam to the player would work... it's a good idea... Time to do some research on that =D
Well that's a bummer!! Is there anyway to trick the client to making the beam? Not sure how the client would handle it but it may be possible....
Well i'm not sure the person really wants and enderdragon on top of the player. I wonder if there is a way to fake a dragon at the players position without a dragon being seen but the beam goes to it.
