Wondering about passwords

A buddy of mine is tryin to get a bank card to buy a minecraft account, but at the moment he cant get it, not sure why, but at the moment he is running the server he has in offline mode, i am wondering if there is anyway to setup a password protection on offline accounts?

 

What do you mean by "offline accounts" ? You mean illegal minecraft accounts?

 

Use whitelist, in server.properties set whitelist= true
In the whitelist.txt, type in all the names of users allowed to join

 

the white list is fine and all but still if someone were to log onto minecraft with my username they could get into the server

 

Then don't have offline mode.

 

well, then i guess your gunna have to look at their ips and write down whos ip is who
and kickeveryone thats not on their own account
