We're searching for developers (c#/objective-c) for our new program:
Bukkit Plugin Studio, It's like eclipse, only aimed at Plugin development.
Now, a developer needs to meet the following requirements:

    • C# or Objective-C Developer.
    • Minimum Age: 15 (unless you hit very good).
    • Already plugin developer ((multiple) plugins and not useless/serious).
    • Need Skype as main Communication (always online when developing too!)
    • Medium to Advanced C#/Objective-C Knowledge
    • Examples would be appreciated
We will only take serious people!

    Cost: Duuh... FREE!
    Open-source- Yes!

    Features:

    • Intellisense, directly triggered at typing a dot.
    • Error and Warning system.
    • Compiling, with plugin.yml.
    • Easy project setup.
    • API finder and installer (get's all plugins with the tag API).
    • plugin.yml builder.
    • Code generator (in easy setup, you can choose events to subscribe to).
    • Click 'Package Plugin', and it will reload it in the server, automatically.
    • Send server commands, from BPS
    • Webbrowser :)
    • Refactoring: is being reviewed
    • More...
Note: Development will take time, that is why we're hiring.
We want a Objective-C developer for a mac version of the app, so we get mmulti-platform support
    C# for the windows version

    So for all Tl;DR; people:
We're hiring 2, Only 2!!, developers for this project, and will be fairly credited.

    Greetings, the MCBukkit Team.

The 2 replies from old thread. :)

Oh and btw: ETA: before summer 2012

If you put it on github, you'll get a lot more help, and you can check edits before they're put in.

The source is already on svn, and we want people to work on it, not only get code snippets :)
I'll import the svn server on github in an hour or 2, i am on my phone atm.

Aah, well I might be able to help, I have experience with C#. If you put down some voids with some comments of what you want them to do, I can help :)

Awesome, do you know of any way to hook VCS with Githib?

it's a svn server, so you should install that, and then i'll give you commit rights

btw. i'll give 2 links in a minute

Edit: nope, my link won't work with vcs
    but this is a requirement:
    http://subversion.apache.org/packages.html

ok, we're also gonna add remote debugging, (when you have an external server, you can upload the just compiled plugin to it via ftp, if ftp is supported)

Perhaps, most likely later, we should implement SFTP. How would you implement debunking though, a debugging plugin perhaps?

    Debugging** stupid iPhone :p

Also, I am 14, does that rule me out :p ??

we're gonna make a plugin, that disabled the plugin, then the app replaces the .jar, and our plugin enables the new .jar

    lol

    Well, no, i (killie01) am 14 too :), we just chose 15 cuz, i'm 15 on september 16

    that's what I meant :p

    Great :)

Would you like me to fork it and use pull requests or push directly to the repository?

And just an idea, you don't have to take it, if you write it in java, it is cross-platform, and you can fork eclipse and work from there, but if you don't want to that's fibe, honestly I'm not particularly good with Java...

Well, we're dedicated c# programmers, so that's one point
also, we want to use a c# control library,
Third, that is why we want objective-c developers (mac)

And pls use pull requests, then we'll review your code and (most likely) accept you to commit directly

@Chrisward the current source on github is not up-to-date, i have to sync it.
    doing it now

github doesn't want to listen to me :(
    you'll have to use svn

Do you have an estimated release? And I could probably help a bit, C# is quite similar to java and I am currently learning Objective-C

I hope it's northern hemisphere, not southern :p

Should it be more like office 07? Like the ribbon and stuff. I have implemented this and if you run my fork you will see it :)

    We already have that

    updated source

yes, if you're currently learning objective-c, we could use your help!
if you check out the source of c# project, and port it over to objective-c, you can then try to stay up to sync / invent new stuff

I would like to help with the plugin studio. I have had 7 years of C# experience, having written programs since 5th grade. I had written a great area protection and Essentials-like plugin for my server, but it got erased when my hard drive blew up (literally). I hope to be able to help you out.
