Where to 'acquire' the latest CB build?

I know there's been a DCMA take-down, but where can I 'acquire' the latest CraftBukkit build?

Also are we actually allowed to discuss this, or is it kind of illegal now?

That's not CraftBukkit, that's the Bukkit API.

 

I don't mean to sound stupid or anything, but what's the difference between the two? Why is only one of them taken down?

 

Unsure why Bukkit wasn't taken down, the DCMA request was only on CB. Bukkit is just the API, not a server itself.

 

Craftbukkit is the server software. Bukkit is like a contract for how it talks to plugin.

Plugin developers refer to this contract for writing plugins. And plugins talk to Craftbukkit using the language of the contract.

I'm still to find out. It's not illegal, but it is to distribute it. I will inform you when I find out more information.

 

I found a 1.7.10 R0.1 jar on a torrent site, which is a strange place to keep a "legal" file.
