Using levers/buttons costs money.

Hi everyone,

I'd like to see a plugin that lets you set charges for using buttons or levers. It would ideally be compatible with the common economy systems out there, such as BOSEconomy, and iConomy. This would enable you to create zones accessible by door or other mechanism that require payment to enter. Possibilities include hotels with rentable rooms with basic facilities (although this would really require other plugins such as linking signs to rooms to display occupancy, some form of persistent link between the room being protected and the current occupant until something such as a failure to pay rent occurs), or machinery that provides a service (mob grinders, etc) operated by some form of mechanism with a charge. I'm sure there are other possible uses for such a plugin, so if anyone out there thinks this is a good idea or perhaps they can create such a plugin, feel free to post your thoughts here!

Yah. I actually love that plugin and use it on my server, but I would like the ability to make a button that charges people money and puts it in my bank account. Ill start on this tomorrow

Another developer, @Sammy, has taken on another suggestion a myself and a couple of other people had independently, but spookily at the same time. It may be possible to achieve this using Sammy's plugin... simply link a BOSEconomy/iConomy/whatever command to a button next to a door/redstone mechanism, and have the linked command pay a small fee to a fictional player (could be the same one I've given all my RealShops to so no-one gets any money unfairly). This would have the effect of paying the server for access to a room/machine.

 

The one problem with linking a iConomy command, would be that if a person did not have enough money in their account, the lever/button would still work.
