    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.

    Just a quick question. Towny works great for me but how do I set an arena section? I have tried the /set plot arena and those different plot commands. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. Thank you!

    We dont use any Economy settings or -plugins.

    What a great suggestion! Question: Why do we use something like towny then? Or why do we use bukkit? We could simple define rules and ban the offenders, right? No? Hope you got the point!
    Seriously, this reply of yours was unnessecary, pointless and distracts fromt the topic! Im disappointed.

    In short: Being able to make outposts while outposts are turned off should be considered as bug and added to the to-fix list!

    Ok, for it to be an arena it has to be town-owned (~ unowned) and you have to be the mayor (or a resident with towny.town.plottype in their permission nodes.) It might be that you or another resident personally owns the plot. To check the owner type /towny map
    which will output the town: owner: lines at the bottom. If it is owned by another player type /plot claim, if it is owned by you personally type /plot unclaim.

    Im running dev, and new to Towny, have to admit im a bit overwhlmed, but figuring it out.

    Ive got perms set, and admin can create town only set false in my config, yet when one of my mods tries to create a town, it says "[Towny] Only admins are allowed to create towns." How can i fix this, or what should I check?

    Your missing a permission node; if you give that permission node to players or group : "Mayors" for example, than theyc an create towns.

    Hey, just downloaded towny on my new server and no commands work!! its irritating, i have commandbook, lockette, worldedit (and guard), Boseconomy, register 1.5, and permissionsEX it worked before (with these same plugins) but now it isnt :c help? im not getting any error messages either!

  17. Did a test with the actual dev build (.71.1.17). When updating from 71.1.6 our players suddenly couldnt hurt any mobs - neither on towny land nor in the wilderness! Is there any new option we might have overseen?

  19. Here is a good suggestion as register no longer works with this plugin with current bukkit builds how about giving some Vault intigration as that plugin works like register but is update alot more often

    Towny has a creeper heal in the config, just turn that off.

    Put register.jar in your plugins folder.

    It's a bug, if pvp is disabled in the wild, then it blocks pve damage as well. It'll be fixed soon.

    Register works fine, don't believe the hype. Elgarl has said he doesn't see a point in moving from one third party plugin to another. He'll put in native support for ico 6/bose/esseco just like towny supports all perms plugins natively.

    Alright I am terribly sorry to annoy once again. How do i set it to a town (unowned) plot? No other residents own the plot and it's not for sale. Thank you again for all the help.

    In the town\data\worlds\worldname.txt file, fine usingPlotManagementWildRegen=true and set it to false.

    It should already be unowned, if you type '/towny map' while standing in the plot you'll see who owns it. If its you just type '/plot unclaim' then '/plot nfs'. If its owned by a resident (in the dev only) you can type '/plot claim' to take it back for the town.

    We using towny with bPermissions. And log file of our server filled with exceptions.
    How we can prevent it? How current version of Towny corresponds with current craftbukkit RB?
    Will we wait new towny release or can use v0.77.1.0?

    Is there a way to make plots of different sizes? I haven't been able to find anything about plot sizes anywhere...

    I got a question, is .77 bugged for bukkit 1.0? I installed towny, but users can't build,destroy,use, ect, in the wild. They also can't buy plots. Do i have to set the permissions? Or is it suppose to just give it by default? The settings in the config is correct.

    Plot sizes are all the same, set at the beginning, sorry.

    Give out the permission nodes, most of the config is ignored in favour of the permission nodes, if using_permissions: true in your config.

    Looks like a king gave someone a surname.
