    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.
    • Wilderness Rules (Optional)
      • Area between towns is wilderness, with its own build permissions.
      • Limit players' interaction with the wild to just harvest-able blocks, keeping the wild pristine.

    I have towny running and everything is running fine but I have a few question.

    Wasnt there Outposts?

    I noticed that the mayor/assistant of a town has to add a player to there town, and can a player just join that town with out being added?

    As an admin(having the ability to use every towny command), how can I force someone into a town that im not a part of?

    Does it support MySQL?

    You need to invite residents to your town with /town add {playername}
    You can give yourself bonus townblocks as admin with /ta givebonus {townname} {amount, ex: 100}
    You can deposit money in your town bank with /town deposit (amount, ex:100}

    Outposts are in, command is /town claim outpost. Make sure outposts are turned on in your towny config.yml.
    There's no invite-yourself-to-town option yet, there are security risks if a town does it and allows residents' build/destroy perms.
    You can add players as admin to any town with /ta town {townname} add {playername}
    MySQL isn't being looked at yet. There's almost no self-corruption left, none we've been able to replicate ourselves. It will be worked on after some of the higher priorities are taken care of.

    I am admin and Mayor of TownA, one of my Mods is mayor of TownB, how can I allow him built rights to my entire city without /friend him and having to /plotclaim all of my city? This possible?

    is this compatible with banana regions so players are forced to build in plots, but not by limited plots

    Re-download from the release link to get please. You might also need to delete your english.yml and then start with the new jar.

    Thanks! However, it seems that builds requires a newer build of craftbukkit? Ugh... I'm on a hosted server and can't get that until a tech is on.

    Yes, part of the fix involved using build 1321. The RB has a bug which caused the "cannot store null" error.
    You may be able to use a newer version, but the dev (EdgarL) was using 1321 and confirmed there was no error with that build. I've also updated to that build with no more problems.

    im having problems trying to set the prices of towns,nations and upkeeps. i re upload the file and do townyadmin reload but the town prices stay the same. any advice?

    That was an issue on It would replace the config.yml file with the defaults. Try That should fix it.

    Now that I think about it, it may have been an issue with using the RB too. Try the newest version, if that doesn't fix it, you may need to use a newer build of CraftBukkit.

    Someone please help. Im using Build 1321, all the residents of my towns have dissapeared, towny spams my console with errors about movement and such.
    My server has been down the past 2 days! I need to fix this ASAP!

    I get Could not pass event PLAYER_MOVE to Towny errors using Towny and the bukkit builds 1321 and 1328. This is the first time towny has been on the server. The error occurs with the default config as well as the one I modifyed.
    This is one of the errors there are a few but they all look similar.

  26. This is due to a change in 1.15 of PEX. They changed the .has() function to static.
    Fixed in Dev of Towny

    0.76.3 is still erroring for me. Looks to not be able to read the english.yml, even after I deleted it. Anyone else getting this?
