    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.

    When i try to start Towny with PEX it loads Towny Perms instead of PEX i've gone through my PEX config and even asked some one for help they said its not my config and i have the option in the towny config for permissions to over ride Towny Perms but still nothing i dont get any errors but in game i do see my PEX Prefix it just wont load the permissions

    Is there a way to put the plots for sale automatically after that they are leaved (upkeep or leave)?

    Is there is a way for me to add {shortworldname}?

    It's like {worldname} but it only give you the first letter of the world name on the chat e.g Spawn for S and Freebuild-1 for F-1.

    No there is not, it made more sense to make them not go up for sale, in case someone loses their plot. When the plots did go back to sale automatically other players would buy the land to loot it and then not build anything of value.

    No that doesn't exist. You might be able to do that with MultiVerse though.

    Friendly fire is a config setting that controls whether there can be friendly fire anywhere, not just the wilderness.

    Hey, I have a question for you. I run a server and I recently installed towny on it I love the plugin. Only problem I am having is that any towny command someones runs get puts on my chat so on days that people are running alot of towny commands I cant see anything else. Do you know of a way to stop this?

    Hey so in my towny config, I changed all the upkeep modifiers to make plot upkeep cost higher for larger cities, however, it does not seem to take any effect. The plot upkeep is not modified by the amount it's set to. Here is a screenshot of a portion of my config. Any idea why this isn't working? (Running Towny + 1.4.7)

    You've set taxes (upkeep) to enabled. You've set the upkeep to 50.0 and you've set teh plotbased_upkeep to true.

    This will charge towns 50 per plot they own, per day.

    The part you showed me in your screenshots are not used when town_plotbased_upkeep is set to true.
  19. Are there anyway to revert firespread? not disbale, only revert like creeper explosion.

    In the other hand... Are there anyway to make nether portals in firespread:false?

    There's no revert in the wilderness for fire.

    Not sure what you mean about the nether portals, lighting obsidian portals is exempt from the firespread toggles.

    Do you get a towny message when you try?

    Towny should allow lighting obsidian portals by default.
  23. No message. Im trying now, i make the portal and lighting it, but the fire only appear one second and dont activate the portal.

    If it were towny blocking it you would see a message starting with [towny]

    Good luck hunting down w/e plugin is blocking it.

  26. Is there a way to set specifics on the plots you put of for sale. For example I have 2 small 8x8 houses which overlap each other in a 16x16 area. Is there a way to put both of them for sale separately restricting both of the buyers to just their 8x8 homes?

    Stop your server, move your server.log out of the craftbukkit directory. Start your server, let it load completely, then stop it. A new server.log will be created, please upload it to http://pastie.org or http://pastebin.com and post the link here please.

    Towny plots are all the same size. If you really had to you could edit the town_block_size in the config to make it smaller but this would screw up the claims of all the current claims. You would still have to move the houses to line up with the new plots.

    You dont have an eco plugin so you'll want to set using_economy: false in the towny config.yml.

    Are you trying to light the portal in a town or in the wilderness?
  29. The eco isnt a problem this log come from my test server.

    Im trying to make the portal at wilderness, now i try in a town and works. But, are there any option to make portals in the wild?

    You'll want to add teh item_use wilderness perm for flint and steel in the wild. This would give the abililty to light anything, but it shouldn't spread.
