    can we get a quick fix up for CB 1550 I, dev CB works alright factions commands don't all work tho like /f home and list and show probably others. {No such method}

    If someone creates a faction, then their permission node to create a faction is removed, is the faction destroyed/removed? I'm guessing not, but I just want to double check.

    (planning a plugin where players get the "create faction" node temporarily)

    Would it be possible to include more configurations for Factions? My server is set up with a single Peaceful Faction for non-war type players to hang out and be... peaceful.

    Here are some ideas I would find useful:

    • Peaceful Faction members not being able to PVP (global setting).
    • Peaceful Faction members are "locked" in and cannot leave on their own (this would be useful for my server).
    • Specific Faction configs, such as /f home enabled for a certain Faction, by name, or by faction type.
    • Limiting the amount of land a specific Faction can claim.

    Is it possible to go to allied factions homes? If not can it be added in?

    When will you fix the door glitch? If you place a block in front of doors of some faction, it dissapears and opens them. Even if you're not from that faction!

    Any way to add a wait period to the /f home command? We keep having players warp away from combat.

    If players want to stop players from teleporting hom in combat, there is a default setting provided by factions which you can modify to your liking which makes players not able to /f home if within 32 blocks of an enemy faction member. for your players to prevent this from happening, they will need to enemy the people.


    If im not mistaken spout requires a default widget size with: widget.setWidth() and setHeight()

    I am aware of the enemy warp blocking it, however it does not stop players from doing it without being at "War"

    For example, with essentials, there is a time after entering the command, players must stand still and not take any any damage, for the warp to finish. Any way to get this added? Or a way to do something similar?

    I use BoosCoolDown for this.

    It has Warmup and Cooldown timers works for any command.

    Not sure what is going on here, but Factions I think Factions is causing major errors on my server. I was even getting Java errors and crashes with no error. I removed Factions and I have not crashed yet. The only thing I changed is I switched copied the server files onto a new dedicated server. I tried re installing Factions and running with new blank files with no success.

  12. anyone got this working with register with cb1500+??

    someone please respond - why do we have to use crappy register and not the old factions library without register.jar need.

    Still cant have people pay for land :/

    Only issue with this is the fact that the warmup is kinda buggy.

    Yea I am aware of that :p, It tends to get stuck, I disabled that part just used the cooldown's. I don't really know any other way yet.

    Yes Factions does not 100% work on CB 1500+ most of commands do errors like that, some work tho like claim, safezone appears to work. not sure about claims.

  15. Most of the plugin works fine for me exept for a few issues.
    block breaking lag, i know its this because it stops when i diable faction on the server, the block breaking lag isnt bad and it comes and goes.(and messages about is server time changed ect)
    some commands error on the server and i have not been able to work out which ones yet i will be trying tonight and supply some error logs.
    Safezone, Warzone and the faction zones all look like they are working
    and i have not seen any problems with /f claim but i will be doing some more test tonight

  17. the build I am currently using of bukkit is 1559 and the main issue I found was with factions as disabling this pluggin stopped the block place lag, I agree it could be a conflict and this was something I was going to test tonight.
    I just assumed that the issue was due to plugin not updated and was going to await RB of bukkit, but if it just me I will look more it to this

    I'm running this plugin fine every since CB1500 :confused:. No errors or anything. I can claim land, unclaim land and setup safezones and warzones. All chats work and admin bypass work. People can't destroy blocks in safezones, warzones and claimed land. Power system works too o-o

    I'll repeat it:
    We're looking to replace Register integration with Vault which should take care of these problems.

    It comes with PEX, IIRC.

    Further work on WorldGuard integration is unlikely, unless another dev steps in to work on it. The existing integration (which I've heard has problems) was contributed by another developer.

    1. Will probably be added at some point.
    2. We may end up doing something along those lines, but it's definitely complicated.
    3. Is AFK status tracked by Bukkit? If not, that would definitely take further thought and be more complicated.
    4. Again, we may end up doing something along those lines.

    I haven't even played around with potions at all yet, so I'll need to look into it along with Olof. We'll see.

    Something like that is planned eventually, it's more Olof's baby though.

    I don't understand how that could be happening based on how Factions works, and I don't really have the time to investigate it either. Sorry.

    The padding options are automatically disabled if you're using the replacement ("{FACTION}") method. The idea is that you should handle any desired spacing within the configuration for the chat plugin you're using, i.e. "{FACTION} ".

    The new documentation does not have a working command list yet; the old documentation linked from it has a command list, though it is outdated.
    All commands are listed in the in-game help through /f h, by the way, and that's always up-to-date.

    What problem exactly are you having? Another Factions release isn't likely until after a new CraftBukkit RB is released.


    Too much for me to address with the time I have right now, so I'll just say: peaceful faction status is undergoing changes.

    Not possible and not likely, but who knows.

    Never heard of that, but if it does exist it's a Bukkit bug and not a Factions bug.

    Are you encountering some problems, then? If so, please provide details. The only Spout widgets we're currently using are text labels, which should not require explicitly setting the height or width.

    As the person who coded the initial method for the Essentials plugin's teleport delay (updated and improved a bit since then, given): not likely, sorry. It's more of a pain to implement than you might think.

    Based on the error, your players.json file is corrupted. Did you manually modify it or something? For that matter, based on what you've said, have you tried completely removing the *.json files?

    Faction Commands are not working I cannot claim land or do anything like that unless in admin bypass mode. For some reason it also blocked placing of blocks in safezone on me sometimes like redstone torch's appear to place but cannot be removed it does not tell it cannot it just says nothing and they re appear on me again shortly after. That is what happens with the broken commands for on me as well as most of them will not work.

    They just appear to do nothing not messages in chat just a console NPE I will go thru them as I bet is a SIMPLE fix as it appears each one triggers the same "No Such Method NPE" I think is related to a way u are calling commands bukkit must renamed it.

    I will post the NPE and any others I find shortly.

    HMM appears something fixed it!, I started with fresh configs and issue is gone strange it was same config working thru 1.7 - 1.8.

    I have Essentials plugin, and Factions plugin. For some reason, after I set Faction home, and then I do /spawn, instead of spawning at the spawn, I spawn in my faction home.

    Is there a way to fix this?

    No set date, no.

    That's pretty crazy. I can't imagine how anything like that would happen on Factions' end of things, and having seen in the past how Essentials is written I wouldn't expect to see it causing anything like that on its own. Good luck figuring it out.

    I have a problem with the first letter of the players user going in front of the faction name. for an example i'm jileet and my faction is Olympians it would look like this= jOlympians ileet. what can i do to fix this?

    Umm.... I'm not asking for a release date or forcing you to get hurry... I just wanted to know when was you planning on making that change to make it work with Vault instead of Register, no matter if you will not compile it or maybe don't work for it because smthing else you need to work first, just wanted an estimated to see what I should plan for my server until you get this ready :/ Anyway thanks....

    I have gotten an issue on my server when players join a faction, they are unable to talk in chat. Anyway we are able to fix this?
