Plugin Help Schematics/Building Placement

Hi,

I am trying to add into my plugin the ability to place in buildings. I am trying to create a tower defense game and currently try to add the ability to spawn in certain buildings in a grid. I am very stuck as I can't find much on this and don't know how to deal with schematics and spawning to a grid?
