    I haven't tested the plugin with a lot of people on the server yet so I can't speak for the crashes, but we ARE still getting the "PLAYER_COMMAND_PREPROCESS" error when attempting to use /myspawn.

    The only real way to do that would be to ask them what skill they want and manually give them the permissions via a permissions plugin. As far as I know, there's no built-in system to choose or restrict abilities.

    There are some Lags on 860 :( i have tested it on 818 and then on 860 and i testet my other Plugins but it seems to be mcMMO.

    I read about the issues with myspawn when i was on 1.0.07 when 1.0.18 was released, I just upgraded with myspawn disabled in permissions and no issues. If myspawn is necessary just provide another means. My server runs with essentials and I enable /home and /spawn already so myspawn was redundant.

    You can now disable Myspawn directly in the yml config file, so it's even easier, but that still doesn't solve my problem. I'd like to run my server using the smallest amount of plugins possible. Myspawn isn't redundant on my server and I'd prefer not to download a suite (or even a single plugin like myhome) to take care of something that might be fixed in a plugin that I already have.

    Yes, but its a configureable option. If added, those who want to use it have the option and those who dont want restrictions dont have to use it.

    What server provider has 16gb of memory if you don't mind me inquiring? You did mention that the 16gb is shared with other vservers. What is the working memory available to your server at this time? Because I am running 1GB with 20+ users just fine with mcmmo.

    Myspawn seems to have been an issue since 1.0.8, I wouldn't be too confident that it would be resolved in just one more patch. Are you really not running any other plugins? I thought everyone would run something like essentials which has the aforementioned /home /spawn.

    Nah, I've installed essentials and Commandbook a few times, but they both had way too many features that I didn't need. I'm running a small server for only close friends - that means at most we have five or six people on at a time. I don't need a long list of moderation tools or a million ways to teleport or give items, nor do I need a system of economy or a method to punish users and protect plots of land.

    On our server its totally bugged and causes lags everywhere. It also Spams errrors in the Server log, i will add them soon.

    As long as you set everything up Correctly, you should NOT be getting all these errors.

    I want to just say a few things about mcMMO
    • mcMMO 1.0.18 is not causing excess lag on my server
    • It does not spam the console on my computer (Bukkit 860)
    • I do have essentials along with worldguard, worldedit, and 14 other plugins, all working with no errors.
    • I am using mcMMO in mySQL mode. There IS a bug here when your SQL password is set to no password. mcMMO will throw a nullpointerexception because it doesn't like the fact that in the config, the password field is blank. What i did is just set a password. Makes everything more safe.
    • When I use /myspawn, I GET NO ERRORS. everything works for me there

    All in all, as long as you set everything up correctly, you should NOT be getting any errors or lag. If you do get an error, please post you Error Message from the console, you config file for mcMMO, you bukkit version, and your mcMMO version.

    I was the same situation as you, so I only partially installed essentials. As for the lag and such, I just got a bunch of it and reverted back to 1.0.07

    It's much more likely that everybody has a different setup and therefore are having different issues.

    I'm experiencing the same with the first few. As far as I can tell, I'm not getting any slowdown on my server and my console is not getting spammed with errors.

    There is definitely something wrong with Myspawn though. I don't know what it is, but there is something messed up. Myspawn was working perfectly for me and everyone else a bit ago. How could us updating the .jar file introduce some sort of user error?

    Even given that fact, I went through and checked all permissions, deleted and re-initialized all config files, and did just about everything that I could possibly do to make sure I didn't improperly configure something. I can guarantee that myspawn not working has nothing to do with user error.

    Just out of curiosity, are you using SQL or a flat file? I'm trying to figure out why some of us are experiencing the myspawn error and some are not.

    Well, what kinda of error are you getting? I don't think "There is absolutely something wrong with Myspawn" is that descriptive in helping me see the common issue.

    Also, as i said in my post, i am using mySQL. I was using a flat file for a while but mySQL does increase performance when you are running mySQL on the same computer you are running the minecraft server on. You will see some small to major performance issues when using mySQL running on a different computer then the computer running the minecraft server.

    All i am asking you to do is Post a decent description of the error you are getting (This includes the console window error printout), Post your config file, you bukkit version, and your mcMMO version.

    EDIT: Please also tell me what you are doing before you get the error, as i am looking above to see other people's issues, they are not telling what they did before they get the error

    Do not expect your error to magically go away on its own, see all your options to try to fix it before dumping this on the plugin creator. After all that, they you can say it is not your fault. An then we can get to informing the plugin creator of whats wrong, which in some cases is all you can do.

    Another EDIT: I am using the same config as mcmmo generates. All i changed was "Use mySQL: true" along with the password, username, etc for mySQL

    I already posted the console error in full in this thread three times (you can find one of them here, if you're so inclined). I'm not going to clutter up the thread again since the purpose of my post was to correct you, not to get the problem fixed.

    I'm using a flat file myself, but the config is unchanged aside from disabling myspawn (temporarily, of course) and disabling the MOTD. Before the newest version, I was also using an unchanged config file to test /myspawn and it was also giving me the error. I think using a flat file has something to do with whether or not /myspawn tosses out an error or not because, from what I've figured out, those having no problem with myspawn are using mysql.

    I said it in an earlier thread, but all myself and others on my server have to do to reproduce the error is type "/myspawn" setting a spawn point works correctly, it's recalling that doesn't work.

    When I type /myspawn, nothing happens and the console displays the error I posted earlier.

    I did and do. Before I posted anything on the forum, I tried restoring permissions, re-doing permissions, giving myself all permissions, testing /myspawn as op, checking config files, and finally, deleting all config files and installing mcmmo fresh as default. None of that worked. Also, considering /myspawn was working perfectly fine before an update, I was reasonably sure that the problem wasn't something that I did since the only thing that I DID do between versions is drop the .jar file into my plugin folder.

    Thank you, sorry so terse, I just hate when I feel like I've done everything that I could and people tell me "it works for me, so you screwed something up".

    I know that the dev and dev helpers deal with enough people who don't know at all what they're doing or don't want to search for a solution, so i try my hardest not to waste anybody's time.

    I'm encountering a serious abuse issue right now with Herbalism. Players can super level their Herbalism by placing and destroying the same mushroom, flower, etc. over and over again. Is there a way to make it so you don't gain EXP for player-placed herbs?

    @Joy Here I was thinking this version would run a lot better. It's probably something small, I'll try to figure out where I messed up.

    All of players healths are regenerating although they don't have the permission node and its set to false on the config file.

    It's good to hear you are running it well, I'm curious how many players your server has and what kind of hardware.

  28. Hmm, I dunno if it's been requested, but it would be awesome to be able to shoot more arrows at once if you're skilled enough. Using click1 you scroll through the amount.
    It should be 2 arrows for 250+ and 3 arrows for 500+ skill, the should be shot at slightly random offsets so they don't accurately hit anything, they'll be excelent at short range tough.

    Also, I noticed you can't damage your own wolves by melee, but you can shoot them with a bow and you get exp :confused:

    And another thing, in the "/whois Nick" command's output, the Mining's value doesn't respect color template, example: View attachment 4057

    "How do I create classes that only have some skills?"
    Using a Permissions plugin, like Permissions or GroupManager, create a few permissions groups. Now assign those permissions groups any number of different skill permission nodes, eg. mcmmo.skills.woodcutting and, if you want, the associated ability, eg. mcmmo.ability.woodcutting.
    Then simply assign each player to their chosen class!

    Works fine for me, bro.

    Alright, its the update @Darkaegis has been waiting for

    Version 1.0.19
    • Removed a failsafe for the Timer that is no longer necessary (should improve performance)
    • Fixed /myspawn not working by rewriting it :3
    • Fixed exploit where players could break a freshly placed mushroom for XP
    • MySQL User Passwords can now be blank (Although you really should have a password...)
    • Fixed a few NPE errors
    This should boost performance even further

    @Joy Try this version out :)

    There's still a few issues I'm aware of, mainly myspawn timers being reset when a players logs out and in. It's something I'll address soon.

    Since I don't have internet I have been playing Monster Hunter 3rd on PSP with my friends IRL and it is awesome. If you haven't played Monster Hunter you should check it out, I haven't played anything like it before, the multiplayer is amazing.

    Also Kaiji, Steins;Gate, and Toriko are really good anime this season.
