I've been trying to find a mod of plugin, anything that will allow me to keep certain chunks loaded all the time. I would like to build a redstone communication network of sorts, but it would only be able to work if the all the redstone chunks stay loaded. Otherwise the signal is lost after 80 or so blocks. I read a post on the minecraft forums where someone was talking about something similar. Post link below. http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=45513 Now it would only have to keep single redstone blocks loaded, so were talking about a few hundred blocks. A person on a server keeps, what, a few thousand blocks loaded at a time? So it wouldn't be much strain on a server. It would be like having an addition person logged in all the time or something.
