   So I am trying to port forward my server but when I open up the console it says Error: Perhaps a server is already running on that port? Also I am a mac user. I am not sure how to fix it. I made a custom IP with no-ip and I port forwarded it with Port Map.

   in the server.properties file, the "server-ip" node should be blank, and the "server-port" node should have the port you're using after it, for example "25565"
   Use my server.properties file as an example (1.8.1 server, but mostly the same to older versions)

   If that doesn't fix it, forward a new port and put that one into the server.properties file.
