If I did my plugin submission here, and put the download link on bukkitdev, would it still be able to be on the get plugins page?

Only if the post was approved, which is not done as much anymore by moderators because the forum system will be phased out. Just use BukkitDev, the plugins show up on the Search BukkitDev page, and you get plenty of traffic to your plugin without using the forums.

But what I want to know if more people get plugins off of Bukkitdev or just Bukkit. Cause I get them off of bukkit. I just thought if I didn't have a download link if it would save them time.

I always direct people to go straight to http://plugins.bukkit.org/curseforge for searching plugins, and http://dev.bukkit.org for downloading plugins.

I'd like to think most people have switched onto dev.bukkit.org as it will make our change to remove the Plugin Submission and Plugin Release forums easier on everyone.

Just remove it already>.< I really don't like having to keep two things up to date.

    Bukkit is a Forum.
BukkitDev is more likely a project manager where all the mods are uploaded.

Bukkit is still used for forums speach.
But BukkitDev is very good to handle project management with release version, craftbukkit versioning for each release and tickets handling

Just realized if u post your plugin on bukkit forums u can recieve likes if u post and bukkit dev u can't?

    Likes are quite worthless.

Metrics show you who's actually using the plugin and a load of other cool details, you can add a graph 'signature' to your BukkitDev plugin page to show off how many servers & players are using it (example: http://mcstats.org/plugin/ShireSheep )

But in a way, likes and metrics don't really matter - if you want certain functionality, search for it and try out the plugin. What other people think shouldn't matter.
