Permissions and Essential Problems

so i have downloaded permissions and other plugins i do the nodes for it and when i add essential and the nodes it does not give me or anyone any permission to do any commands and it only happens when i add essentials idk what? so plz could some one help me if you have a skype or teamveiwer something plz i really want this server to go up So PLPLPZLZPZLPZLZPLZ!!!! 1help!
