^" ". I used the server with others successfully back during 1.2.5. I've updated bukkit and my plugins are up to date. This is, however, my first time using plugins... That might be where I messed up, idk D;. I've port forwarded using my IPv4 and port 25565. Attempting to port forward for the ip I access my router from and get from whatsmyip.org makes my router tell me "server ip adress must be a LAN ip adress", but isn't that local only? Neither Java or the port are being blocked by my firewall. What am I doing wrong?
In the server file, make sure your ip is internal (192.168.1.109, etc.) but you connect with your external ip address. I use that on mine and it works fine. Also in your router, port forward it to the last 3 numbers of your internal (109, etc.)
I can't port forward to just the last three numbers. I'm using a netgear router, and trying that, it says "invalid ip adress". I'll try your first tip though tomorrow. EDIT: Checked it with http://canyouseeme.org/ , it works. I didn't realise others connect with the external even though I forward the internal. I was so desperate I almost used Hamachi. ;') whew, that was close.
