    It's "obfuscation".

    If it prevents us from doing our work, the file will be rejected. If it doesn't, the obfuscation is useless anyway.

    Yes, you are allowed to but it doesn't make sense. Besides that, the community welcomes openness.

    Unless you're trying to make money off your plugin, there is no point.

    If the plugin is for yourself, you're allowed to, it's your code, think twice if releasing

    You could always using the "All Rights Reserved" license. *snickers a little bit*

    Technically because Bukkit is GNU GPL, all plugins made with it have to follow suit.
