Normal Portal Mechanics.... (Via wiki information) Likelihood of 2 overworld portals linking to the same Nether portal - Normal World portals that are within 1024 distance of each other on both X and Z axis are almost always going to link to the same Nether realm portal on initial construction because 1024 translates to a distance of 128 in the Nether Realm, and the game checks for existing Portals within 128 "radius" around the destination (the 257x257x128 box). What im looking for.... A way to neutralize this from my server, per world.
Are you wanting it the regular world to nether world to translate to a 1:1 instead of a 1:8? So if you put a nether portal at x= 300 z = 300 it would be the same coordinates in the nether and then if you make a nether portal at x = 301 y = 301 it simply puts the nether portal next to the other? Seems like a cool idea, especially in raid servers as you could find a persons house to raid, get the coordinates, then go to the nether and make a portal which would make a portal right in the middle of their home. LOL But you would also need it to prevent creation of a nether portal in either world if a specific block is in the way in the opposite world such as pistons, doors, chests, redstone, ect... After all you wouldnt want people using a portal and wrecking someones redstone work or popping where chests would be. I think its a cool idea, the problem being im not a plugin developer so sorry for little to no help.
grief like that would be annoying lol. Im looking for more of a overworld 25,25 = nether 10,10 for skyblocks with a 50block diameter
Just because they link together on initial creation, doesn't stop you just manually building the 2nd portal to get 2 seperate dual portals If you really want to change the ratios to 10 : 25 you can do precisely that with "NETHRAR" which lets you set the scale of each world on your server.
