my friend's can't join my server

i portforwarded it and it connect's but my friend's can't join.

 

blackman Can you elaborate? What message are they receiving? Any console errors?

Hey most computers have the firewall set to only allow connections from the network (i.e. WiFi/wired) so only you can connect, not friends. I know this is true for me on my dell windows xp and i just opened the ports under the firewall settings in control panel.

Did you test to make sure port: 25565 is open?

 

Most cpu's do not have static ips. Make sure your local ip has not changed.

 

i did port to 25565 but what is a static ip i wil check th ip

 

A static IP address is called static because it does not change.

 

can you make a ip static

 

Static ips are provided by your isp(internet service provider).

it is probably the port when i go to canyouseemee.org it cannot find the port but i did port forward it

Go into cmd. And type ipconfig. Now make sure it is that ipv4 ip! If not change the ip for the portforwarding process.

 

it is the ipv4 i had 2 ipv4 and port forward them both one was fine the 192.168..... and the other said this is not a correct server a normal server starts with 192.168......... (i know i did it right but i don't want to say my internet on internet before i am really desperate)
