Inactive [MISC] ChairCraft v1.2.7 - Seats in Minecraft [1.1-R4]

Due to a bug in Minecraft, you will only see yourself sitting as normal. Others will see you under the chair.​

Please do not report this, it is a known bug. It cannot be fixed until a bug in Minecraft, introduced in 1.6, gets fixed.​

ChairCraft makes it possible to make chairs in Minecraft!
Permission-node: 'chaircraft.sit'
You need to sneak and right click to sit!
It is configureable to check for signs at the sides, and the max width of a chair (or sofa).
A chair can be a stone or wood stair or a slab (any type):

There's nothing to update, I think, sitting bug is a Minecraft issue (easy to spot really, just shoot an arrow into a wall and watch it teleport upward), and the plugin itself works fine, that's the only problem so far.

 

Hello, looks nice plugin. Anyway i have build #1000 {v1.7.3}, and im unable to downgrade to #953 becouse it had a serios problem with memory leak, so i'm really apreciate it when you update it to #1000 so i can download it.

I can't help but note that Minecraft 1.6 has come and long gone. And I still have a face full of chair.

Did the expected client fix not arrive? Perhaps the bold-red disclaimer should be modified to reflect this?

 

Just because the client bug was introdiced in 1.6, it doesnt mean the bug was fixed in 1.7.
Notch is not known for his bug-fixing skills.

Well since it seems they sit on top of the arrow, why not make it a smaller entity?

hmm. now that i think about it, i dont think there is one that doesnt require u to build over the object a block overhead. If only there were a way to shrink arrows?

Would have been awesome if there were a way to as well make it so you could lay down.
Make it so that when carrying a bed and then left clicking, u will lay down on that spot.
Guess it would be cool to do that with sitting as well... a stairpiece and left clicking to sit wherever u want.

My turn to take the crown.

 

When i am playing on my server with this plugin installed my friend says that my player is sinking into the chair... literally! my head is the only thing that you see... not even that but you only see half of a head!

 

is it possible to change the entity to a fishing bobber? those seem alot smaller...

 

Amazing plugin, just one tip, check that the block you're trying to sit on is not farther than 1 block vertically (up or down) or it might become exploitable to escalate otherwise unreachable positions.

Shift+rightclick might enable laying on some surfaces too? (bed, 2 slabs nearby)

 

id love for laying to be implemented. U sir are my hero.

does this work with 1060

 

I just tested on 1000 with the following plugins and it froze my Java instance, multiple times. I had to kill using the pid and signal 9, so this seems to be a pretty bad problem.

When i sit down other players only see my head (im sitting in the floor or somethin)

I'm running on bukkit 1060 with NoCheat 1.14d and every time someone uses a chair I get massive spam of movement hacks until the player relogs. Has anyone else encountered this and found a solution by any chance?

you should make it so that you only sit down when sneak clicking. Otherwise it's a pain in the put to place blocks next to it
