Message staff in the file description

Hey,

I've got a question for you guys approving all the files we upload:
Do you have an eye on the description of the file?

If I want to leave a comment for a moderator it would be nice to know if it will be noticed and, in the best case, deleted after the approval. E.g. a link which will update a "newest version" file used by an update-checker.

Such a message would be clearly flagged, of course.

No, we don't read the description before downloading a file, because we don't access the file via the usual "File Description"-page. If you are concerned about the acceptance of something you're planning to implement, send us a PM or contact us via IRC and we'll talk about it.

 

Useless for the scenario with the version check, but still good to know.
