does this require every player on the server to have the spoutcraft louncher? or do others just not hear the sounds?

EDIT: what is the sound that is played when you picked up those diamonds btw? I reckognise it but am completely clueless as to from where...

 

If you don't have the launcher you doesn't hear the sound.

The audio is from zelda

 

I have the launcher, installed the plugin, and set sounds for a few Items (I used urls that ended in both .wav and .ogg) tried using tinyurl to make url's smaller, and still it doesn't work!!!!!!!!! pls help. also, the config file is empty, and there are no errors reported...

 

Tinyurl links will not work. This is a bug with Spout and redirection.

However, the config file being empty is odd... I'll investigate.

 

direct links only....gotcha. I'll be testing this out tomorrow.

Please could you post the urls of the sounds you are using because the config is empty.
If it had urls for a few items in already that would be cool

Also can someone please explain how I actually find these sounds? is there any specific sites that do them?

My config file is still remaining empty when I issue the command to set it. I am using a full URL to my file.

I am using permissions 3.1.6 and the perm node doesn't work, please help!

 

Post in https://github.com/WhenRaptorsAttack/ItemSound/issues with the version # you are using (found in plugin.yml).

The permissions standard is SuperPerms and any decent permissions plugin is bridging that. Go complain to Yeti.

Could you allow for the console to be able to set sounds?

 

Ok, I updated, and now the urls appear in the config, however, I still can not hear the sounds!!! I have tried both .ogg and .wav files. I think it is probably my fault but I am stuck... here are the urls I used:

At first when I watched the video I thought picking up a diamond made the goddamn Legend of Zelda theme play. That would have been epic.

 

If you currently use Permissions is there any way to set these up directly into the config file? Mine is currently blank, if anyone could give an example of a config file i'd really appreciate it.

Yeah, this is what I have to do.

Modify your config file and save it, and then /reload or restart your server.

Spout itself is free, but you won't be able to play without a paid Minecraft account.

 

Now I get what I was doing wrong!!!!! instead of DIAMOND_SOMETHING I was using data values!!!! *facepalm*

 

i added a sound, when i pic kup item, it said download complete, but i dont hear it.. its .ogg

i converted it to .wav and it works nice

another user gets downloading file.. then nothing happens

That's what I was doing as well. The plugin dev needs more information in the first post. I found this out by submitting an issue in his bugtracker thing

 

I still can't get this working. Even with the manual editing. I hear no sounds

I can;t set the item thins in game either, I get a permissions denied error or something

 

i wud love permissions to work with 2.7.4 to add sounds instead editing the file, reloading server

 

Yeah it doesn't work with permissions by Yeti... we have to edit the config file manually... but nice plugin Thank you !

 

my config is empty and it says i have no permission to modify sounds
