    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Oh I know. :) I was just putting it out there that if this were to be sorted and used in conjunction with asgaard's current body of work, an edit similar to MoreTrees would be in order. Of course just omitting KSlopes would ameliorate this conflict but I find them to be a lot like true love: something you never knew you wanted, but now that you've found you could never live without.

    It says in the OP, as well as about half a dozen times in this thread, that FancyPack version 5 is the only client-side release that works with asgaard's plugin. When BigBrother (the fellow working on the FancyPack client) releases a stable package asgaard would probably be more inclined to update; as it stands now however, he's waiting.

    It'd probably be polite, but there's no harm in working on what you want to port and simply sitting on the results until you get a response. :D

    The white box console or your server console. If in neither then...Um do "b:\\Traduction\\mod\\" file exists to make sure that it can see the file. It should return true on the gui white box thing if it can find it. If it can find it..then I'm not sure what the rest of your stuff looks like. So any other guesses would be that maybe there is no path files to the java folder for example something similar to this in your plugins.ic:

    Hi there, I have a bit of a unique problem, and I'm not sure where to begin. I've searched the thread, but can't find a similar problem, so here it is:

    I absolutely love this mod, and I've been using it on my server for weeks now. My hard drive crashed, but I have a new one with a fresh Windows 7 install plus updates. Upon re-installing all of my minecraft plugins and Itemcraft, I noticed something funny. If Itemcraft loads, my other plugins (excluding Permissions) do not and vice versa. I had it running nicely before, and now it seems if I want Itemcraft mods I can't have any of my others, except Permissions for some reason. I'm running a lot of plugins and managing them with permissions, and they include Redstone Chips, Portalstick, VanishNoPickupItems, kFeather, Gills, and Herospawn. The IC mods I want are just Fancypack, Stained Glass, and Kslopes. The reason I have so many plugins is that I let anyone who is on my server choose one mod that only they can use, kinda like a super power only they can have. They all worked fine before, no problem. It must be a setting I've not configured. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Make sure you're using the RB stated in the thread - people were having issues with getting 928 to load their plugins with ItemCraft. I believe the latest CB build that doesn't have issues is 910, but sticking with 860 would be wisest.

    If you're already on 860, starting with a fresh install and loading plugins one by one would be the best course of action (first one being ItemCraft with no subplugins enabled, then adding them in before your main Bukkit plugins).

    IceMaker! I never saw that mod in Nandonalt's list - that's ingenius!
    I can test the Coral Reef mod on a clean server with the stock ICPlugins to see where conflicts lie. I'll update if there are issues and link an edited plugins.ic file for BlockID/ItemID changes.

    I just realized thta you need 2 snowblocks to craft the IceMakerBox. Can you get Snowblocks in MP? I think ill chnage the Recipe to sth that fits in mutliplayer.

    Edit. Changed the Recipe and reuploaded the Plugin. Instead of the 2 SnowBlocks use 2 Glassblocks.

    Actually now that I look at the those paths where is the java folder? When you run the translate.bat it should make a java folder and that is where the retroSource should go to. Example "retroSource" "b:\\Traduction\\software\\java" putSetting

    This is what I scrounged up in terms of errors and conflicts. Client-side, it was a matter of changing the values in the file, everything is fine. Loading ICNReefs with Slopes causes errors though. I'm wondering if the issue with only getting one kind of coral when you break either one isn't reflected in the single name used for both blocks (BlockCoral2) - does the same thing happen when any of the growing coral is broken too (BlockCoral)?

    Testing RB860 with only ICNReef loaded now.

    -EDIT- The blocks themselves seem to summon, place and break without incident. It's the different kinds of coral that screw up, and they seem to have the same bug Stained Glass has where picking one up, regardless of what color it is, will add it to an already existing stack. Maybe somewhere Bukkit/ItemCraft isn't differentiating between damage values and adds things you pick up off the ground into whatever stack of that BlockID is most accessible in your inventory. All stained glass are damage value offsets of BlockID 20, coral being 176-178 by default. Hope this helps?

    Anyone with a mac having problems packaging the client side mods should really use the minecraft JAR tool, the link is Here:

    That's a zip file used in the french tutorial for macs that was posted earlier. I don't know why it works, but it does. Inside the zip is the tool as well as a few more tools for making your own server work, but those may be outdated. The only one I used was the Mincrafe Jar Tool. It simply backs up your jar, unpacks it to your desktop in a temp file, allows you to drag in the necessary client mod classes, and then packs them all back up for you. Really awesome tool, props to the creator ipodtouchdude.
  18. You can actually make snow blocks - there is snow in MP, and using a shovel on snow, you get a snowball - 4 snowballs - 1 snowblock.
    However, since you've managed that, anything you could do with potioncrafts recipe for an empty bottle - its exactly the same as a Kslope glass corner, so you can't use these 2 mods together (without hacking in some empty bottles) - everything else in Potioncraft seems to work OK.

    EDIT: Huh that's weird. It downloaded with the old link, now the updated doesn't work.

    EDIT:EDIT: Just deleted the file in its entirety and uploaded a new one. Again its meant for someone to attempt and help me debug it. Known Issue is there is no firework being displayed when it is launched.

    It seems BigBrother is updating the FancyPack to version 7 sometime soon, adding in a few things and fixing up what was wrong with the earlier versions. Any chance of this seeing an update, or is all progress on hold until the deal with ModloaderMP is finalized?

    That's actually an easy fix, similar to the tree mod, you can add that script to change the ids there and under the .minecraft/mods/Fireworks/ there is a file named BlockID.txt which can be edited to change the ID of the firework, but the mod DOES NOT work at the moment. I went back a few pages and discovered asdaarg is merging ItemCraft with ModLoaderMP, so that should hopefully enable us to resolve these issues.

    any OSX users here? Im having problems loading and decompiling the edited Craftbukkit SNAPSHOT from my experience in modding my minecraft its a bad idea to delete the META-INF (this would automatically make the file illegal) so anyone found a terminal java code loader just to load the files of itemcraft?...

    I have a customer who is absolutely dying to run this mod. I've put in some hours to adjust our server-side stuff to support it, and happily so, because it looks really cool and I'd like to offer it to everyone we host for. However, I can't get it to start up properly.

    Per the instructions on the wiki, I am running CraftBukkit build 860 (with META-INF removed) and ItemCraft that I downloaded from here. When I try to fire it up, I get this error:

    Someone asked this exact same question some pages ago, and no one was able to find an answer, and it doesn't seem like it got anywhere else.

    This is the command line I tried:
    java -cp ItemCraft.jar:craftbukkit.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main nogui

    If I take ItemCraft.jar: out of that line, it will start right away and Bukkit will work.

    I am omitting the mem size arguments because using them or not makes no difference - it still throws the same exception.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    to be honest i didnt remove ALL of the META-INF folder i removed all that was in it and put the META-INA folder from itemcraft in my craftbikkit server .jar file hay it works ok :>

    Just wanted to say, this is the best bukkit plugin to date. Adding Mo'Creatures, Trees, and Fancypack makes this a whole new game for me. I can adventure w/ armor, sword, and miners hat and roam around, nights are scary. I'm actively building traps etc.

    Seems to be some conflicts with World Edit though? and potentially Pwncraft?
