    Description:

    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    alright i have a problem a few days after installing this mod the server is suddenly being spammed with [WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?
    and its become much more laggy
    is this caused by this mod or is it just a problem with my server?

    Sounds like you have Creatures installed and a Bunny Problem. If this is so use oldscript and set Bunny Spawnrate to 0. Look at the Tutorials in the Wiki.

Of course, the REAL trick if you want to disable Kslopes to make a few bottles, is to ensure you are not near any chunks that are going to load which contain any building work with Kslopes blocks in them - or, hyperthetically, someones roof could dissappear, taking best part of an hour to replace !! :oops:

    I've sorted all the stuff in both ICPlugins and ICScript. As I said slopes works perfectly. From looking around it looks like it's the latest update of fancypack (version 6) that is causing the problem?

    You have to use Fancy Pack Version 5 with ItemCraft. ;)

    How to install ItemCraft and an ICPlugin by example : let's do it with ICKSlopes

    Before you begin, you will have to first download the plugin and the mod that goes with it. Indeed, Asdaarg had to change how the client communicates with the server by creating a client mod.

    * Let's begin by downloading the plugin: ItemCraft.
    * Then, download the mod client required: 16-bit entity id packet mod.
    * Now, get the plugin for this example: ICKSlopes. This is the server side plugin that allow us to have all the new content offered by SuperSlopes.
    * And finally, we need Kaevator's SuperSlopes: <Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url>


    Installations

    Client side
    On the client side, it will first have to install the mod "16-bit entity id packetmod". To do this, simply place the two class files to the root of your Minecraft .jar as you would with any other mod.
    Then you need to install SuperSlopes. I'll let you refer to the documentation for this plugin to install it because it's not the topic of this tutorial. It is important that all clients wishing to connect to your server have the two mods installed or they will crash.

    Server side
    To begin, make sure you have the compatible CrafBukkit version that is used by ItemCraft. For 1.4.3, you need CraftBukkit 860.
    Next, open the jar file and delete or rename the folder META-INF or ItemCraft will not work.
    To continue, place the file ItemCraft.jar in the same directory as your craftbukkit.jar (or whatever name you gave it) and change the boot sequence of your server as follows:

    Then run the server a first time and turn it off right away.
    An ItemCraft folder should be appeared and you should have two folders (ICPlugins and ICScript that contains the file plugins.ic ) and a file init.ic.

    Place the plugin ICKSlopes in the ICPlugins folder and open the file plugins.ic (Recover it from your FTP if you do a remote installation) and uncomment the line
    to use ICKSlopes.

    Now you can restart your server. If all went good you should see this in your logs:
    Note: the installation of the other plugins does not differ from it. Just put them in the folder ICPlugins, then uncomment the correct line in the plugins.ic and install the corresponding mod to your client.
    Attention, some mods (More Trees and SuperSlopes among others) use the same ids. You will have to change them client side and server side. To change an ID on the server side, add this line (One for each block / item):
    before lines like this one:
    in the plugin.ic file. Remember to use the same id on the client side and server side.

    Looked at the two lines, couldn't see any use for em so I just commented them out, there were two other null pointer exceptions as well, was a quick fix though. Otherwise everything else looked correct.

    Finally managed to port Kaevators Hedges and Shears.
    Tested it on my Testserver and it worked fine. :)
    Only thing is that Leaves drop two Blocks. One you can collect. The other is some kind of "Ghostblock". You cant collect it but when you relog its gone. But no crahses or Errors for me. Tested all Items and Blocks of the Mod.

    Trying to translate a mod but for some reason it can't find the .java files. Even though I can enter the path of where the folder is and it returns true.

    Can you make a List of Ported Plugins in the OP? I would make it so that everybody can see who ported what Mod. So people know who they can ask when they have Problems.

    If i could host such a server i would do it but it lacks with my hardware...

    I think that all the ppl that are interested in IC want to see an extended game
    experience in minecraft... it would be great to give this experience with a well moded and
    balanced Server to the com.

    I don't think this is such a good idea. That would mean everyone goes online on that server to test? Then everyone has to mod their client and such. But the help part is not such a bad idea, though you could also use a chat, or, just a suggestion, a forum! Wait, wait... Yeah, we already have one. Well, a topic. No, I didn't mean this bad, but I think the forums are good enough^^ Plus, we have the Wiki.
     
  25. Just tested this - if anyone has the trees mod running, it'll crash out, there's obviously an id clash somewhere. I'll have to look into it - unless anyone knows the id list ? I can't get it at the moment, the minecraft forum server is down.
    If you disable the trees mod, it'll work OK.

    I think it might be better to create another wiki page with the mods on for @asdaarg to add a link to, otherwise, the op will end up taking most of the thread. I can set that up if you think this is wothwhile ?

  27. OK, to assist, so far we have :
    Beer - HERE
    Miners Helmet - HERE
    Potioncraft -HERE
    Hedges & Shears -HERE

    Issues known so far :
    Miners Helemet - works perfect
    Potioncraft will not work together with Kslopes due to the water bottle recipe being exactly the same as a Kslope Glass corner. It also requires 2 ID changes server & clientside if Kslopes is running serverside :
    "BlockKaevObsidianIntCorners" 213 setID
    "BlockKaevDiamondIntCorners" 214 setID
    Beer will not work with the trees mod active serverside (possibly fixable with some id changes) - untested client-side
    Hedges & Shears - Serverside OK, untested clientside

    I have the client for Shears and tested it on my Localserver. Apart from the Ghostblocks that drop with the normal ones, i saw no Error.
    Not sure about conflicting IDs though. Tested it without other Mods.
     
  29. I'm trying to test as much as I can together to see the results - if you have a link to the hedges client, I'd appreciate it - I can't get it at the moment - server down !

    Updated the Wiki with the links to the User Ported Mods.
    Made a new Page for it.

    Btw: Have Nandonalts Beemod nearly Ported. Only a few Errors remain.
