    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    And the log for mod loader shows no error.

    Optifine is needed for HD textures, and i cant change to mcpatcher now.

    not without adding all minecraft.jar mods from scratch.

  5. It seems you have a fair amount of mods in your client - without going through eliminating which one ( or perhaps more than one) that is causing your issue, there is nothing I can suggest to progress a fix for you. My apologies.

    Hey was looking for a good farming mod. Anyone know of any that works with Itemcraft more trees, mo' creatures, fancy pack, and baby animals? O that's another question has anyone fixed baby animals so you can interact with the animals?

  8. That being the case then, the only 2 I can see that have caused issues for previous users of Itemcraft are Optifine and Scottools.
    I believe there is an alternative to Scottools - ShockAPI which can be obtained from HERE. Currerntly at rev. 8
    It might be worth seeing if this fixes your problems, or, I would have to suggest the removal of Optifine and trying out the MCPatcher from HERE - which is what I use currently for HD textures. I haven't tried modoptions API, so I've no idea what that does.
    When you save you've no client mods installed, I assume you are installing the client mod to match the server mod you install ? (i.e. if you install Finiteliquids on server, you install Finiteliquids on your client)
  9. Yes i install The client mods needed for itemcraft, but i did have a problem with Shock API as it crashed my client on start but that might be because it "does not" work with optifine ?
    I am just guessing now.

    And i think mod options is needed for Mo creatures.
  10. Mo' Creatures requires GuiAPI and audiomod (+Modloader) there is no mention of mod options.
    I can only suggest backing up your current .minecraft folder and trying the other options I've suggested. There is no reason I can think of that your client would crash if you limit youself to things I've tried. Although not everything I try is successful, I have managed to get Mo' Creatures to run and f course, MoreTrees, but using the alternatives to what you are currently using.

  12. Although one or two people have issues, Kslopes is fairly easy to get working. The only issue is with block ID's between Slopes and the trees mod. You could download the file HERE.
    This contains 3 files - put the 'Moretrees.props' file in your .minecraft folder and put the 2 'ic' files into your server/Itemcraft/ICScript folder replacing whats there. The plugins.ic file is set to run Slopes and trees. Try that first, then uncomment the Creatures mod & see if that works as well (it should).
    The oldscript.ic file contains the settings for Mo' Creatures animals.

    I have problem.. I install item craft 1.6.6 and ICKSlopes. Everything is Ok but when i try to make blocks the game crashes (i see black screen) .. I use 16bitEntityId_ModloaderMP and ModLoader ... Any ideas ? :oops: :)
  14. The first, obvious question is, are they the only 3 mods you have installed on your client ? Did you also download Kslopes ver 2.2 and put the zip file in your .minecraft/mods folder ? Did you start with a clean install on your client ?
    If you believe your client is OK, please try downloading a test server from HERE, and see if that assists. Just drag the folder out from the zip file and start using the minecraft6.bat (assuming Windows)

    Okay, I am getting pretty frustrated here, I tried getting ww2 guns planes and vehicles on my server, i loaded them all in and everything worked fine all the mods went in etc etc. Then I downloaded the client-side ones and loaded them in, this included the 16 bit packet mod both modloader and modloader mp the turbo model thingy, audiomod, planes, vehicles, and guns. When I tried to log in it would say logging in...then black screen. Then i tried it with just regular mod loader no itemcraft, and i got an error java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.bukkit.craftbukkit.CraftWorld.getKeepSpawnInMemory()Z, So then i removed all of my mods and well the same thing happened....

    The serverside files for these mods are under the downloads/bukkit 1.7.3 section HERE.
    The files should be loaded into a particular location on your server. Now this depends if you are using the combined, single file version of Itemcraft/Bukkit for which you could download a test server available HERE, or if you've made up your own seperate bukkit & ItemCraft files to create your server.
    If on the single file server version, then the serverside mod files should go into a particular folder within the bukkit.jar. Open the bukkit.jar with winrar, or other zip program, double-click on the 'net' folder, then on the 'minecraft' folder, then on the 'server' folder. All mod files go into this location.
    If using the 2-file server, then instead of opening the bukkit./jar, open the Itemcraft.jar and put the files in the same location as described above.
    Client files, you need to start with a clean minecraft.jar. Download Modloader from HERE and install, then download ModloaderMP ver 2 from HERE and install, then download 16bitentity mod from HERE and install (installation in that order).
    Now download the flans mods required (including the extra mods required for flans mods to run, i.e. turbomodelthingy, audiomod) and install, then see if you can connect.
    DON'T FORGET, the test server is set up for slopes to run. You will need to stop slopes from running to get your other mods to run.

    hey there qpower you know your qfancy pack addions you made are you going to keep them running and as a noob will there need updating for 1.8 and will you be posting them as i use them all the time on my sever and would hate to lose ty for all work and a pretty please if possible ty
  19. I am presuming you are using some form of language translator as your post is a little difficult to follow, however, I think the problem is going to be with your client. If you can understand the post immediately above yours - or click HERE. You could download the test server if you wish and try that, but you don't need to if you think your server is ok, but you DO need to follow the instructions on how to set up your client correctly, and instructions are in this post. I also notice you are using Itemcraft 1.6.5, and we are now on ver 1.6.6

    There are many who are going to be nervous about loosing their most precious mod additions come the MC 1.8 release. I am sure that many will get updated, but there are always a couple that get left behind. On average, I've always seen a gain as MC updates, as more features become possible to do, and the real beauty of Minecraft is the ability to not only be creative playing the game, but the amount of adaptations that can be made by server admins.
    The Aether mod is being developed for SMP - not by anyone here, but by the team that created it - wouldn't that be something to put on your server ? ....... things are always moving forward with Minecraft ..... we loose some things, but gain so much more ........ keep watching .......... :D

    It Seams like I'm running out of size for Terrain sprites while trying to use Industrial Craft and Fancy Pack.

    When i add Minecraft Extended the client runs fine but It freezes when I try to connect to itemCraft Server.

    Is there any way to fix this except having to remove terrain sprites from mods ?

    Yeahh it's the big problem of a lot of mods on the same server, I think before continuing port mods. We need do the port of minecraftextended.
  25. ....... or perhaps - Minecraft Forge. Not sure which one's going to turn out to be the best ? - Although this one's already available for SMP via ModloaderMP Unfortunately, mods have to be written to go with Forge, I don't think you can just add this and hope the mod works.

    Forge is already ported for ItemCraft (here), but the mods have to be written for the Forge to use the infinite terrain and sprite indexes.

    1st thing is this ^ (but now there is a RB out)
    2nd thing is that 1.9 will be out in 1 or 2 weeks or something like that, updating now to 1.8 would be pointless
