    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Hey guys, it's my first post on these forums, hope I'm not breaking any rules here. I've tried to solve this myself with 3 days of fiddling around with all kinds of settings, but nothing seems to work. First of all, I'd like to thank you for these mods, having slopes and cherryblossom trees are the few things missing from MC which it needs :p

    I'm trying to install Kaevator's Superslopes and Nandonalt's Treemod together. I've managed to succesfully install KSlopes client- and serverside, it's working just fine (except for the glitchy graphics sometimes, but more people seem to have that). I then proceeded installing Nandonalt's Treemod, client-side first. Working properly as it should, all the new trees showing up. I went on to installing the mod onto my server, changed the block id's in the ''plugins.ic'' file (yes, above the command lines which activate the separate plugins), and tested it out.

    Turns out my server is actually running the Treemod (together with Kslopes) without any problems, it's not giving any errors which it seems to give when there's a block-id that's being used twice or something (which I've tried to see what happens). When I try to connect to the server though, Minecraft freezes. The screen goes to black after a while and I just can't do anything with it.

    I've checked some of my logs, but as I'm not very experienced with what could be useful information, I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction as to where I could find the problem (or if I can upload a log which would be of use to anyone trying to help).

    Which version of bukkit and itemcraft? and which version of superslopes?
    I had the same problem and took me two hellish days to finally get it to work.
    In the end I am able to have: More Trees, Coral Reefs, Fancy Pack, SuperSlopes w/colored wool slopes, Baby Animals, Mo Creatures (disabled atm because too buggy on itemcraft 1.6.6 - waiting for stable release), and Stained glass.

    All I can say is double check the ids both on the client and server side. Add one mod at a time and see if you can login to the server when you get to the one that's giving you the black screen, check the ids.

    Hello ItemCraft maker/Coder.. i have a small problem and I've encountered it before with other plugins.. my server is running Bukkit Build 1000 and industrial craft and buildcraft.. that said i cannot use ur plugin as it checks for the bukkit jar integrity which ofc isn't there as I've added to mods to the jar.. so ur plugin fails.. is there any chance you will be removing that check?? or maybe help me understand how to just slap the mods i want into my jar instead having to load ur whole plugin ??? any help would be appreciated.

    hey im just attempting to translate a mod and it says that i need to paste the mods class files in minecraft.jar. i was wondering if, because its a mod that requires modloader, i would need to paste both modloader and the mod into the minecraft.jar, or just the mod.

    also, at the bit where you enter "C:\\blah\\mod\\" file "C:\\blah\\translatedmod\\" file translate1 i get the error "unknown identifier "file" @ line 1 col 71
    obviously ive replaced the example directories with my own, but it just doesnt like the 'file' identifier for reasons unknown to me.

    Could you integrate MinecraftForge into ItemCraft and just make it so you can comment it out like you can with ModloaderMP and 16 bit entity pack, because when I try to install the Craftbukkit version of MinecraftForge none of my ItemCraft plugins work.

    NEWS NEWS me and blood and many others are testing this mo creatures edited by blood with lots of bug fixes and features that the old mo creatures pluggin can't achieve. Lots of bug fixes and as they say pictures are worth a thousand words.... BTW its not using ITEMCRAFT it's using modloadermp directly to bukkit. still blood will create an ICpluggin for itemcraft... waiting for DrZarks permission to release this mod/pluggin...     Hello there. Not sure if this is the proper place to ask this, but I'm currently trying convert some mods over to be ItemCraft ready. I'm at the translation phase, where you use the servers GUI. When I enter the "file translate1" command, it runs the script just fine. In the CMD box, I see these two lines, however:

    "C:\...\retro\java\ not found."
    "C:\...\retro\java\ not found."

    Is this going to affect things? And if so, anyone have any ideas on how to get those files to translate properly?

    Is there a way to get krynlyng's craftbukkit mods working with ItemCraft without the entity ID's getting all messed up for the ItemCraft plugins that I already have. When I put krynlyng's port of Portal Gun and Teams into my ItemCraft.jar all of my bunnies turn into werewolves, but I can then put the werewolf on my head like a bunny lol. Am I adding the mods wrong, or is this because of the buggy MoCreatures plugin?

    Thanks for your reply. I've been using all the latest versions, bukkit #1060, IC1.6.6, etc. Yesterday, another day of fiddling, but I still couldn't get it to work. I can't even seem to get the Treemod to work on it's own online, while it's working perfectly fine in singleplayer and the server itself seems to be running ok as well.

    I've been trying for a few hours now to get a setup of this working. No doubt I'd have an easier time on a local environment, but my server is one I rent, running with McMyAdmin. I tried to follow the instructions provided for it, but it didn't seem to work in /Minecraft/Addons, so I switched to the Addons folder in the root directory. The server then runs without crashing, but when starting it gives no indication that ItemCraft has been started. I thought perhaps it was just not being logged, so I put in a mod to test (Mo's Creatures), but there was no sign that it was working either.

    I'm not sure if I'm perhaps missing something obvious, here's the ItemCraft.txt file I'm using (it's in the same directory is ItemCraft.jar):
    I also have the ICMCreatures.jar in the same directory too, since no directories were created when the server was run (I guess because ItemCraft wasn't being run). If anyone has any idea what I'm doing wrong, please let me know,

    I had the same problem, even with the much-lauded test server, ran right out of the box. Something is fucked up, most people don't notice, but there IS a problem somewhere along the line. My advice? Don't bother with any of this shit. Sooner or later, slopes will probably be integrated into the game and we won't need these ridiculous workarounds (or "don't-workarounds" as I now call them).

  30. Apologies for not getting back sooner, however, if you still have an issue, your post contains what was in the launcher-frame window, and not the modloader.txt from your .minecraft folder. Although, this does show its looking for a missing class, but I am unsure what would be causing that.
    Your startup is interesting, try something simpler like :
    java -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -XX parallelGCThreads=2 -cp Minecraft.exe net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
    I'm not saying there's anything wrong with your startup, but just looking for something simpler for the moment, and have you tried starting without Optifine ?
