    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    the itemcraft install intructions for new minecraft point us to a test server that doesn't even HAVE an itemcraft.jar in it.

    Well I just downloaded the test server again, and the only thing that was different was the ICKSlopes.jar file, so I replaced my old one with the downloaded copy, and logged in to my server. I now have access to the wool corner slopes and wool oblique slopes... before, they were listed, but not accessible. I still do not have access to the straight slopes in any materials, or any other corner slopes other than the outside corners.

    Yes I got it all working installed ICNTrees and also did that for client side and everything worked well. Then went to do ICMoCreatures and server side seems to be working client side seems to be working but wont let me on server. I can play clientside on singleplayer but goes to dirt screen when trying to connect to my server then black screen. server says connected with entity id 83 then shows i disconnect endofstream. I thank you for the help. I need to thank Tuttu too.

    Dont't know it helps but "OnTickInGame" is VOID not boolean on minecraft server, so maybe try this:

    Mo Creatures update : I decided to start Mo Creatures SMP port from scratch and am slowly porting each MoCreature into SMP. By doing this I was finally able to pinpoint the issue causing water mobs not to spawn. My test server now has fully functional sharks=). I am getting closer to releasing a functional SMP mo creatures mod but I want all the creatures to work at least 90% rather than the bugged ICMcreatures plugin.     I have been testing with my problem I posted earlier on page 175, and I found out what was wrong. If you have the ItemCraft plugin on your server DO NOT install ShockAhPI r6. I noticed that this is the only mod I had recently updated, so I downgraded to ShockAhPI r5 and now it works exactly how it did before. Modding the ItemCraft.jar still changes the entity ID's because the bunny box turned into a werewolf box again, but I don't think this is really much of a problem.

    Mmkay... pardon this question, because I believe it was answered somewhere in the nearly 200 pages (thought I saw it), but I'm now equipped with fancy pack for a modded server...

    Logging into normal servers, Book shelves don't show. They just look like weird shelves. Is this due to the 16-bit pack we needed for Fancy Pack?

    Again, I thought I read somewhere about this, but I can't find it for the life of me.

    Another Mo Creatures update=). Here is what I have currently fixed :

    - Water mobs spawn now
    - Horses are now rideable
    - Horse types no longer change
    - Horses can now be tamed
    - Horse names are now seen by all players(This was a tough one to fix) is the post I keep updating

    As you can see I am still working on horses since it is the most complex next to kittens. Now that players are able to see Horse names, what should I display above horses not owned by the player? Currently they all show the same green health bar with name underneath. Suggestions would help=)

    How about the color of the text changes to white when the horse is not owned by the player, and is green when it IS owned by the player? Plus, all health bars should be visible by all players. This should be a pretty easy feature to implement.

    I am having a major problem in the MoCreatures mod with the giants they glitch out everytime I see one and everyone else on my server says it does the same for them. This is great having someone fixing the problems with MoCreatures!!!
    I am so excited cant wait to get this up and running on my server!

    O.K. I have another issue. I have Fancy pack Mo'creatures (cant wait for all the fixes Bloodshot is doing!! Whoohooo Good Job Bloodshot!) and More trees on server and client along with bukkit plugins. I and 3 others played on the server all day and it worked fine. Besides the glitches that come with mo'creatures right now. Then all of a sudden tried getting back on and it lets you back on but you take 2 steps you freeze and black screen occurs. I created a new world to see if its maybe my world file and sure enough it works fine again. I still have my old world file. Is there a reason this happened? Don't want to start another world and have it happen again after taking the time to rebuild.
