    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

  3. I have tried it on bukkit #953 - only for a short while, but seems to work OK. Definately doesn't work on bukkit #1000.
  4. I've officially gone mad trying to translate some mods, keeps returning an error which is impossible. Anyone who can make a better tutorial, it would be greatly appreciated.
  5. There is a post a couple of pages back - can't remember now exactly where stating the issue with bookshelves. The chimney issue is something I ran across with another mod where it used the same block ID - the 2 mods worked together until you tried crafting a chimney, again, the mod was 'The Allocator'. If you are using Fancypack with The Allocator, you will need to change the block ID on one of the mods - try /giving yourself 103 ingame and see what you get (or if it crashes) - that's the default Chimney ID.

    Awesome would it be the latest download 850 from industrial craft's website? just want to make sure I am running apples to apples :). Thanks for being an infinite source of knowledge. I am starting to get a little more savvy in the mod server administration. Plugins for bukkit are cake compared to mods.

  8. We are tied to keeping as near to the server-side ported version as possible. I tried it with ver. 8.10 and this worked (for the short time I tried it). Even in this version, he's added an extra 4 items into the mod and there's no way of knowing if these new items will work with the current server-side ported mod version.

    Just tried crafting the latest items in Industrialcraft v 8.10, and you can. Not tried them out though, it would take a while to get to the point where you can use them.

  10. Just an update, I've managed to get bukkit #953 with IC 1.6.4 running with Industrialcraft, planes, Kslopes and The Allocator - very small amount of testing, but client & server working up to now.

    Then if you are an admin on the server did you try : /give playername 103
    If so, what result did you get ?

  13. In the file 'init.ic' which is in your server folder in the Itemcraft folder, please add the line :

    false setPacket230OnLogin

    then restart your server.

  16. Then you most likely MUST have a block ID conflict, assuming you can craft other Fancypack items OK - what mods are you using currently please ?

    it ses above that line that it disables modloaderMP ?? is that a problem ...and also anyone else heaving a problem where they have only babycreatures running on the server but have mocreatures installed on client and ICbabycreatures but are getting mocreatures spawn everywhere along with constant huge errors that dont seem to be crashing it ... when i turn baby creatures off all the mo creatures stop.
    I have no other mods installed/in the files server side

    if its not something i am doing wrong than its probably ICbabycreatures being weird or a difficult problem with IC itself ... but i am hoping it's something im doing wrong so i can fix it.

    (the reason i only have babycreatures on is because im testing how to set up a mod server all is going well aside from this problem my guess is that the errors will leave when ICMcreatures is updated so i can install but not entirely sure..)

    this is my ICraft settings thingie

    ok i have tried a friend joining he only has babyanimals installed he can join successfully and sees only the baby animals but when he joins i get the same huge error . i have an idea though that might fix it ... if i doesnt i will add the error here

    ok something was wrong with essentials protect so i deleted it i use world guard anyway(no more huge errors).. but even more ..weird is my friend can see the baby animals and i cant ..? also i can see mo creatures but there not installed server side ?? is there something im have written wrong in th config class that is alowing all mods to work even though there not in there? (cant be i have the too many items and it doesn't show up.. unless it just don't work in mp)

    i have made sure that babyanimals is installed.. im going to test again by taking out the mo creatures from the mods file and see if they go away and the baby animals appear if not a full reinstall without mo creatures will be the next move...

    ok i got rid of the mo creatures but than the game wouldn't log in properly just black screen so i just recopied the whole backup over and started modding it again (than i realized i may of had to run the 16 bit thing again but it was already to late) so after reinstalling and getting a stupid error which i in the end figured it was me not deleting the meta-inf file i have finally got it working with baby animals no errors.
    Problem is i don't have mo's creatures on client anymore... so i will just have to wait for ICmcreatures before i install it on client again ( i thought it just wouldnt run in server if it wasn't installed in server)...

    i guess what i need to ask for the future is , is there a basic order of mod installing for all us that are new to this ? as in 1st required files for mods than 2nd the mod files themselves? or can u do it in any old order ? because some classes might overwrite others ? im not sure really

    if anyone can answer some of the unanswered questions in this, like why mo creatures stops ICbabyanimals from working and than mo creatures works itself (client side obviuosly)even though its not running in the server but baby animals is , would be great :D

    in the proccess of writting this, i realize that i needed to add the ictransalte plugin to init.ic and so I'm getting this:

    as well as more for each class I extracted into the mod(c:\blah\mod) folder. the java folder is empty. I'm too tired to keep dinking around, I'll fool around tomorrow after a reply. I'm sure its something silly I'm mossing, lol.

    I added Plans to the client and the server. When I put in the gameworkbench I can not enable / start. Nothing shows.
    When I put on the ground plane disappears.

    havent been able to find any ICMcreatures as of now ...only other way i knoe of (i dont know much about it) is to use an older version of bukkit with the older version of itemcraft... which means older version of minecraft..

    How do you install planes on this ??? its so confusing i have tried countless times. Also i have seen people with working lastest version with creatures and planes why not help us out please ? gonna try the old icm creatures now but i stumped with the planes thing as there is no old ICplanes not sure how we are supposed to get it working ? help anyone ?

    well i tried using the old ICMcreatures but it obviously did nothing because all the mobs where client side i tried it again on another server without the ICMcreatures and they where still there so basically i ran into my old problem again the one where on the server mo creatures takes use of and takes over the babyanimals plugin i had a pet wolf cub and it turned into a gazelle that i could make stay and follow me... the only ways to stop this as of now is to disable baby animals and have no mods in server or reinstall mc without mo creatures
    (possibly fixed when new ICMcreatures is released)

    beside this i would still like to know how to install planes on the server if anyone can tell me how ... i have tried on a server without itemcraft by placing the files in craftbukkit...snapshot (in there what i believe to be correct place)and it ends up with an error list i have tried installing it in one with itemcraft but it seems to be ignored altogether i havent tried installing into itemcraft.jar though so i wil try that now...

    and no that doesnt work...

    Hi fella Better Than Wolves dont work on ANY SMP servers its ONLY a SP Mod at the moment and planes mod dose work but only in minecraft_servers not CraftBukkit but i have in stalled it on craftbukkit with itemcraft,mocreatures and with loads of plugins but it loads fine and these np. But i cant spwan planes or craft planes or even craft the planesworkbench as its got an item conflict. If theres any one whos had this running on CraftBukkit #1000 or any craftbukkit PLEASE let me know Thanks:confused:

    there is suposedly ... people recon they have pictures as proof but i think its old anyway i have also installed planes but when i go to craft an item the item flashes on than off also i tried a prebuilt server that has planes already in it and it wouldnt run until i edited the .bat with the oen it ses to use above and the planes did the same thing...

    @NickMiner69 is your mo creatures working on the latest craft bukkit and itemcraft ? if so what did you download ?

    Rofl I download and follow every step and download everything that is required and I get bad packet Id 230. Thnx for having a 10 year old video tutorial and nice job up updating to 1.7.3 even when in the console it says modload 1.6.6
