    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    I have a problem with itemcraft 1.7. When i want to connect to the server, even if there are no mods activated. My client crash and on the console i see "end of stream". Once my client don't crash and it was written something like "bad id packet" I think it is a problem of the o4kapuk 16 bit packet mod because in simpleplayer my game works with the mod. Someone can tell me how to install the packet mod, maybe i do something wrong.

    I tried everything i can think of. But i cant get the Mods translated correctly. I dont know what to try anymore im using all the newest software and checked everything more than one Time.
    Im sorry but it seems that im not able to update the Mods. Maybe someone else has more Luck with this whole updating the maps or whatever you have todo to make this work. :(

    Anything specific you're getting stuck on?

    Although I never used that file that might be hinting at the problem, QwertyPower reusing the mappings from 1.7.2.

    Is the setup and use of ICNTrees the same? The Link you have take me to a post from vers like 0.6... I was just wondering if there is anything different I need to do now to get tree's working.

    It's always the same thing. MoreTrees uses the same block Ids as SuperSlopes. If you use both of them, you will have to change some Ids. The instructions given by asdaarg change the ids of MoreTrees blocks and you have to do it server side and client side.

    With the new FancyPack, shelves override bookshelves. In order to have bookshelves back, we need to but a book in the shelf with the help of a GUI.
    Is someone OK to take the work made by @asdaarg and add that GUI support ?

    First, I apologize for my English, I'm French but I'm going to explain my problem I('m not good to improvise and solve my problem)

    I have a server on my personal pc and I can not get my run.bat to launch properly Bukkit and itemcraft same time.

    So for information i have :

    - Build # 953
    - Version 1.7.3 for itemcraft
    - Windows 7 pro 64bit

    My run.bat to start my server is currently:

    SET BINDIR=%~dp0
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar "%BINDIR%\craftbukkit-0.0.1-snapshot.jar"

    The run.bat given here does not work for me! (I put it as such in the file. Bat)

    java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main

    Can you help?

  15. I have been researching - we appear to have :
    Block ID's limited to 256
    Item ID's - virtually unlimited
    Item Sprite ID's - Limited to 256.
    Sprite ID's are those which override terrain.png - I would have thoguht they'd come under the category of Block ID's, however, it doesn't matter why, Planes & Creatures both seem to be using these sprite id's, which is why they won't all load together with Industrialcraft.
    This is only preliminary research, if anyone has any views, or better knowledge on the subject, please post !

  17. Yes, Industrialcraft + Planes mod + bukkit #953 can and do work together, but your just about out of ID's running these together, so adding anything else would be unlikely to work.

    Okay thanks for this, its great!

    I still have problems running More Trees:

    I took a fresh minecraft.jar and a fresh bukkit server.
    Installed Modloader, ModloaderMP correctly.
    Everything worked.
    Installed GuiAPI and SAPI.
    Tested. Worked.
    Installed More Trees and ICN Trees.
    Blackscreened at startup.
    Changed Item IDs (page 16).
    Worked for SP.
    Multiplayer it'll crash if i walk to far away from my spawning point (blackscreen).
    I get no error messages in modloader.txt or in my bukkit server log.

    any ideas?

    Magyc - Have you tried this very excellent tutorial posted by Lindrack earlier on page 117? It was extremely helpful and allowed me to get an ItemCraft server up and running.

    is it possable to port buildcraft by spacetoad over to item craft now thats some mod plain yes or no will do lol please and tress still thorwing up bad java errors for me cant turn it on at all before even try the client side

    Hmm I have tried the plans mod but the parts just disappear as soon as I try to craft them... no errors. what am I missing because I would love to get plans and then industrial craft to work.

    Of an interesting note. I made a complete copy of my Item Craft server using Lindrack's tutorial and simply dragged your new ItemCraft.jar into it, overwriting the previous one. It started up with no glitches, complaints, or fractures in the space-time continuum. I was also able to connect with a client with no errors as well.

  28. If you are using the latest v15 of the Planes mod, then when I've tested it, although the plane dissappears from the crafting square, when I click to 'pull' it out into my inventory, it does, and I get a plane.

    I haven't been able to get that far, just trying to craft the crafting table and the plan parts and they disappear from the crafting window. I tried moving them over even though they disappear and nothing.
  30. Something like that usually only happens when either the client-side planes is not installed, or more commonly, the server-side planes is not functioning properly. ?

    client side works like a champ and I don't really know how to test the server side... should I just start with a fresh .jar file, clean download and use winrar to dump the planes class files into the jar file again? SuperSlopes works... I wish it gave me an error so I could at least troubleshoot this.
