    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Installed new ICFancyPack for 1.7.2. Some of id's changed, will try to reconfigure. And my client still crashes when i open a chest with old fancypack's items.

    Unfortunately, You will need to know what ID's are inside that chest, and remap some item/block ID to retrieve/destroy it.

    Alright well I need some massive help. My goal is to get 1.7.2 working on Craft Bukkit #953 using itemcraft 1.6.1,
    with these mods: Please help by pointing out anything I did wrong/forgot to put in.

    Right now, I'm just trying to make the server work with no mods at all, then once that works I will proceed with adding the mods.

    For the client side, I added these mods into my minecraft.jar in this order:

    1. Modloader 1.7.2 (Risugami's)
    2. Modloader MP (I found that located in the zip on this thread

    Once minecraft works, I will then proceed to add Mo's Creatures, which requires this I believe:
    Audio Mod

    This is just so frustrating and I really want to play !! XD

    Yep, change them. Pick an ID that was working, and swap them around, and see if you can then retrieve the item.

    As apposed to crashing? That's simply how the vanilla Minecraft client was built. There is no 'error checking/recovery' for these kinds of cases, so the client simply crashes instead.

    I got Industrial Craft to load up on the server just fine. I installed the client side just fine.. I black screen on connecting to my server. Is there a different Client side I have to install to be compatible with bukkit other then the normal one?

    ok! so i finally got planes and all of flan's mods to install on my server! :DDDDD

    after 5 days of pain and agony and frustration!

    so i will explain it as best i can.

    1st do lindracks tut a few pages back, its the easiest ways to get rolling after that you should have slopes working and a itemcraft server ready to do your bidding!

    2nd go to this page right here:

    3rd download the all file a little bit down the page, it has all the flan mods (server side)

    4th. Make sure all the people have the LATEST client side mods (VERY IMPORTANT!!!!)

    5th open your itemcraft jar with 7zip (or another like this) got to net->mine craft -> server
    heres where we put the flan server side mods downloaded in step 3, open which ever ones you want on your server each one should have some txt files and a jar folder, open the jar folder and place the contents in the itemcraft jar path up above. then place the txt files in your server folder (one with your starter.bat)

    6th place which ever server side mods you installed in your mod folder ex if you installed flan's planes last step put the whole zip file in the mods folder

    7th log in has fun!


    so far ive got planes on my server dont think ww2 or vehicles work because the server version arent up to date with the client versions

    That ModLoaderMP and the other files in the zip-archive are for the server (itemcraft) only, not the client.

    On the client side you'd need Risugami's, Flan's ModLoaderMP (client side), audio and gui api mod.

    Not all the mods...just modloadermp!
    I released an already modded itemcraft a few days ago,the main problem is that one isn't fully updated!
    ModloaderMP is for version 1.7.2,not 1.7.3,and this causes some crashes

    I Did everything to the T... I went through your list twice now.. I have 1 server running the latest CB and Itemcraft and im trying to set up a smaller just fuck off on type server with Industrial + Planes....

    Client Side Modding is 100% legit. Ive tested it out and all of it works.
    I put the JAr files in the ItemCraft.jar
    I put the Txt files in the craftbukkit.jar folder
    I put the Mod(whater).zip in the /mods folder
    Server starts 100% Fine.
    Upon login Player gets Black Screen / Crash.

    PM me ? Or willing to help on Skype or ventrillo would be appreciated.

    In addition to my post are the pre-patched minecraft.jar clients with these mods inside for easy distribution to server users, or is this a violation of the TOS? It would be convenient for players to just dowload a .jar place it correctly and then play without custom modding their jars by hand.
    And I still feel stupid because I don't get how to prepare craftbukkit and the client side for planes mod...

    HELP! Whenever i save the code "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main" into notepad and then save it as "run.bat" it doesnt work :*(. When i double click it,all it does is open up a small black window and the closes it in a split second. Anyone know what's going on?

    Distributing the minecraft.jar is a violation of Notch's EULA, yes. You might want to remove the link before you get reported. Trust me, if I had the option to just compile a jar for people in this thread for their specific needs I would have many times over by now - it's such a numbingly simple process if you just RTFM.

    To configure the server-side, you are only deleting the META-INF from craftbukkit.jar, and adding the Planes mod (or any other) files to ItemCraft.jar in the net\minecraft\server folder with the rest of the .class files.

    Oh, I don't know if your link in particular violates anything - I was just stating that anything distributing the minecraft.jar itself, modified or not, is a violation of Notch's EULA. I didn't follow the link so you'd be a better judge than I would. The RTFM comment wasn't directed at you personally either - it's more toward the people that post here on first error they encounter without doing a bit of digging. It's understandable to not read all 121 pages of a thread - that's a bit much to ask - but at *least* the OP, maybe the last 5-10 pages of the thread. Again, not at you personally (your handle just joined the site yesterday), but so many people on here don't even bother to skim the OP let alone follow links to SSP mods, read *their* threads, check the wiki, anything. I'm probably expecting too much out of netizens, hence why I pretty much keep to myself anymore - I end up being a prickasaurus en route to trying to help solve problems.

    Some bug in your fancypack...
    Console got spammed with this for like 200 + errors. Didnt crash my server but caused SEVERE lag.

    ALSO: Reporting back on my Industrial Craft / Bukkit server. I got it working thanks to LabelBuddy. I didnt have the 16bit loaded on my Clientside... That fixed everything right up.

    Eek, shelves - BigBrother had to put out a patch to fix a crash bug caused by them. They're such a great addition to the game though. Have you tried disabling them in the .props file? I know, defeats the purpose of having them, but I'm curious.
