    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Which server package did you use?
    The one that is included in the zip-file of the official download, or the one from "modloader mp for bukkit"?

    I installed its contents into "ItemCraft.jar", inside the folder "net/minecraft/server"

    Once I installed the client-side of it, it seemed fine actually.

    Not tested but up to date so it should work fine. Not sure about how to install though, the tut says drag the class files into your minecraft_server.jar, so I don't know if it's supposed to go into craftbukkit.jar or Itemcraft.jar for us.

    Can you give us more intel on how you installed everything ?

    Yeah I didn't specify this part because I was assuming that people would be both using the test folder with the craftbukkit953.jar and copying the strip I gave for the .bat

    I redid the mappings, and did manage to get some good output this time(I think).

    I'm too tired at the moment to examine them real closely, but hopefully these can help get more of the updates done.

    Looks good to me, the searge column hare no nulls now at least, and the nulls in the mcp column appear only when there are double hashes in the searge one.

    I tried it out just now on the latest FancyPack, and it did a decent job, I did have a few cases that I didn't see a good mapping for, but its seems close.

    I was trying to convert it manually earlier yesterday, and trying to fix that one by hand was miserable compared to the ICTranslator's version.

    why do i always get the message:
    mpcfie is set to nonexisting file:
    I use Itemcraft 1.6.1 bukkit 953 and ICTranclater
    When the gui comes up i give in the command to start translating and then the server shows only this error.

    What do i do wrong?

    Make sure you specify mcpfie before the ICTranclator loads.

    Hi, I tried to start a server and also the above-described used .. I have finally made it through the bad packet 230, and now I get a black screen when I try to join the server

    Lol! I (finally) managed to have the industrialcraft 8.10 client working with itemcraft 1.7.2, but now ICKSlopes won't work... As if'd not be installed. The client has the mod and its recipes, but on crafting them, the blocks vanish. Like with the plane-thingy when it's only installed on the client. Is it because I changed the id's in plugins.ic from this:

    EDIT: @Lindrack: Also it appears that betterblocks 3.7 doesn't work. You said you confirmed that it does, so how did you do it?

    I was wondering if you could help me with the problem i have with ICM creatures. Mos creatures is working perfectly and so is the server when ICM creatures is turned off, however if i turn the plugin on and log into the server i fall in infinity and the server crashes a few seconds after. I would post the error messages i receive however i think theyre too many to post here, i tryed a few stuff my self but nothing seems to get the job done.

    Ok nevermind, I spoke to fast. I did some more testing after seeing your post and you're right BetterBlocks doesn't fully work. I only tested the options I was interested in (which, quite conveniantly, are the ones that work !) and assumed the rest was working, too.

    For the things that do work, if you try to place stairs in a L shape the one in the corner will automatically be connected to the others and form a proper corner (lucky me, that's the only feature I wanted :p). They're not 100% functionnal though, you tend to get stuck if you climb the angles, I just noticed it :(

    I also know that if you place ladders side to side they'll connect to each other and form one big ladder. Another feature of the mod is that ladders are 3D objects instead of sprites and can also be placed without a block at their back. I tried placing one on the ground and it appears for a split second and disappears, so the server actually reads the part of the mod saying that you can place a ladder on the floor but doesn't let it do so.

    There are lots of other options in this mod and some like these 2 might be working but TBH I don't even remember what they are so I can't really say what's working and what's not.

    Anyway I'm sorry for communicating misleading informations, I'll be more serious about the testing next time, my tut has been corrected.

    Hey Guys, I'm a complete noob at this whole server modding etc, and I need some help setting up a server. Right now I'm running a CraftBukkit 1.6.6 server, using Mo's Creatures, Fancypak, Miners Helmets, and Trees Mod. Everything is working fine, but I want to update to 1.7.2. (or 1.7.3, depending on what mods have this yet). Btw this server is just for me and my friend.

    1st Question:
    Would it be possibly to run Industrial Craft, Mo's Creatures, Trees Mods, and Fancy pack on a 1.7.2 SMP server?

    2nd Question:
    How do I make Industrial Craft work for ItemCraft? I know how to make it work for a vanilla server, but I dont know how to obtain the Industrial Craft plugin. Do I port it or something? o.o

    Any help would be great guys. I read previous posts and saw some people were running Industrial Craft just fine on a 1.7.2 server.

    Currently, ItemCraft itself does run on 1.7.2, but the plugins for Mo'sCreatures, Trees, and Fancy Pack have not been ported as of yet.

    IndustrialCraft, along with a bunch of other ModloaderMP mods have been ported for bukkit usage. These are placed inside the "ItemCraft.jar", inside its folders "net/minecraft/server".
    Some ModloaderMP mods may work if simply placed inside the mods folder, and its worth trying at least.

    Ok so I want to Run Everything up to date, I want to update Bukkit with every new release as the bug fixes are great.

    I Love "Kaevator: Slopes for Minecraft" and I want to apply this to my SMP server. However it recomends using Itemcraft to facilitate the server side.

    However when I come here there isn't a set ways to install this... Instead there are two ways to do this and not Just one, Why?

    So far I have the Items showing up in TooManyItems, But when I try to give them to myself or make them I get an error "ERROR: Unknown item ID: ###" or when Building the block it shows for a quick second and disappears.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am also using McMyAdmin if thats of any consequence.

    I downloaded the server folder that works with Bukkit 953 on the Itemcraft wiki, then I went into the ICScript folder and I opened the plugins file. I uncommented the ICKSlopes.jar and I Commented the ICMCreatures.jar. Then I started the server with the Minecraft6.bat file.

    Anyone know's why this happens?
    Having QwertyPower's ItemCraft 1.7.2 and ICKSlopes or any other updated plugin running, works fine.
    But as soon ModLoader MP for Craftbukkit is being injected to ItemCraft, no IC-plugin will work anymore...

    EDIT: DANG!!! I'm so stupid ^^
    QwertyPower's ItemCraft already includes modloadermp for craftbukkit - I forgot. I downloaded and put both modloadermp and industrialcraft from the page mentioned above into itemcraft... That's what messed everything up.

    You had mentioned that the ICTranslator could be used to port plugins between versions.
    How would that map up to your settings vars?

    bukketSource -> craftbukkit-new(extracted)
    vanillaSource -> craftbukkit-old(extracted)
    mcpmet -> unsure?
    mcpfie -> unsure?
    bukkitJar -> craftbukkit-new.jar
    vanillaJar -> craftbukkit-old.jar
    classmap -> classmap.csv?

    Do these look somewhat correct, or am I way off base?

    I should most likely not do this, because this is my first post in this forum. So before I do the newb thing: I used the search function, I was a lurker, I am running a 953 server and it's running fine, I love the job all here do and I hate the whiners demanding immediate support and don't respect the free time of others. No, this part out of the way, my question:

    I want to get the planes mod onto my server. As I understand, there are two options now: Use this plugin here and mod it in somehow or use the method posted in this thread on mc forum. Now, how would I go by and which method would you recommend? Is there a non-video tutorial I can follow? (sorry, headset voices close to the mouth whispering something about shell here ftp there creep me out). And to even include some off-topic: Same thing for mo creatures?
    Also, is there a way to make the game more kid save, for example take out the creepy sounds that the darkness makes or have less punchy creepers?

    You need to run craftbukkit-old through retroguard, just use dummy parameters so you can use the fifth as 0. mcpmet and mcpfie are inconsequential, they merely used for commenting the result so you know what the a b c means. One thing you could do is simply clear the column with the mcp names so you don't get them. Or just leave them as they are. vanillaJar again the retroguarded version. For classmap, replace the vanilla classnames with the bukkit classnames.
