ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    • Add more Block types
    • Add more Item types
    • Add more Entity types
    • Add more TileEntity types
    • Add more Crafting recipes
    • Add more Smelting recipes
    • Add more Tree generators
    • Ported ModLoader interface
    • Ported ModLoaderMP interface
    • Fake GUIAPI Settings interface
    • Startup file for configuring plugins and making simple blocks and items

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.
    • To start:
      • Windows:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
      • Others:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar:craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

That said, I want to thank all who have helped users with their problems. In particular special thanks to icephantom and Asymetrikon for their big efforts in this. Also a special thanks to xeronut for being generally helpful.

Yes, but meanwhile you can always get it from just replace the version number. Also you can get the source for ModLoaderMP for 1.7.2 for bukkit here:
that should save you some work.
I haven't bothered updating yet, because mc-dev is missing again from github. If you can do it, I'd appreciate it and give you credit for it.

if you can cet me a link for that mc-dev i can get you the source code no problum
  4. Offline

Not sure how you can do that. It is usually here: but the bukkit team haven't released it immediately after updating to 1.6 nor 1.7.

mcDev, is the the vanilla src? or
  6. Offline

Its the vanilla source with bukkit names. Simply decompiling CB hasn't worked foir me trying several decompilers. I'm not sure what else the bukkit team has done with the source.

Hey I was wondering something. If one of the Item Craft plugins is installed in the server and only on some players' clients, will those players who have it in their clients be able to see the new stuff while the other players won't? I ask because I have Coral Reefs in my server and in my client, but not in my friend's client, and with both of us in the game, I wasn't able to see the reefs no matter how far out in the ocean I went.

So can someone give me a straight answer. Does this work with 953 (Minecraft 1.7.2) ? I've been reading through this topic and some seem to say yes and others no.. I gave it a try but it didn't work, I got massive errors.

953 is for 1.6.6. No it's no updated yet.

What is wrote in the topic title ? It is for either CB 860 or 935 so it's only for 1.6.6 atm.

Here is a copy of my attempted update for ItemCraft from 1.5.1(ModloaderMP version). It does <font color="rgb(128, 0, 0)">not</font> function properly yet, so don't expect to install this and have an updated version.

It seems to load fine, but I'm still trying to figure out a few bugs at the moment. It can load a simple plugin I made for the previous version, and I can craft blocks from it, but some of my furnace recipies are not triggering.

This will require Modloader+ModloaderMP in order to run. I used a dev version of craftbukkit, so I cant guarantee that it will start on the current recommended yet. Hopefully, asdaarg can utilize a few of my changes to get full 1.7.2 support :)

The furnace recipes are working as intended, its actually a bug inside my qFancyPackAdditions client-side mod. to .jar)

I saw what was in the topic title, I was asking because over the past few pages there have been unconfirmed reports of this working.
  21. Offline

I looked over the pages since the merged version came out, and haven't seen anything in the discussion about the problem with the gui's about a solution, so here's what I found:

with a client with all appropriate mods + the 16 bit entity id packet mod connecting to a bukkit server with either itemcraft v1.5.1 or the modladermp for bukkit installed, everything but the mod's gui's works.

when connecting with a client without the 16 bit entity id packet mod, but with the rest the same, the gui's work for both.

I am unable to test on a 1.6 vanilla server, as I don't have one. If someone else can, and try to confirm this pattern, that would be great. If I'm right, whatever code modloadermp uses to communicate the mods' gui's to the client is in the mx.class. This means modloadermp mods are incompatible with ICMcreatures (while running on itemcraft, anyway), but disabling the 16 bit entity id packet mod seems to run fine.

I've got a server running with the following mods (rb935):
industrialcraft, fancypack, supperslopes. no bukkit plugins yet.

    Hope this helps.

any plans to work with the bukkitcontrib project?

it'd be nice if the two projects didn't end up in competition.

I've been poking around with my update to IC, but haven't been able to test ModloaderMP mods as of yet. The ones that have been ported to Bukkit seem to load fine in ItemCraft, but the version ID that's reported is not yet updated(shows as 1.6.6v14 for planes when in fact its 1.7.2).

I'm porting StainedGlass to 1.7.2 to test some more, but I don't see any additional bugs as of yet. :)

Anyone that wants to play on your server has to have the single-player mods installed on their computers, yes. They'll need to go through the same process as you did to connect to your server. If you're the server admin, it's usually helpful to compile the modpack you used to get yourself up and running and send it to them (or at least a text file with a list of URLs for them to get the stuff themselves).

ItemCraft 1.6.1 REQUIRES ModLoader and ModLoaderMP(client) are required to run these.
In addition, another ModLoaderMP mod needs to be installed on the client. I have now provided a simple ModLoaderMP mod to use on your Minecraft Client that will work around the 'bad packet 230 error' bug.

Links to ModloaderMP mods for Minecraft-Client ONLY
    Flans-Mods on

Links to Liar's port of many ModloaderMP mods for CraftBukkit
NOTE: Install ONLY the mods you wish to run(such as IndustrialCraft, planes, etc..) into ItemCraft.jar. These all need to be inside the subfolders "net/minecraft/server".
Do not install ModloaderMP into ItemCraft! ItemCraft has its own version of the ModloaderMP framework built into itself.

Plugins that I have tested myself:
KSlopes: Works with most recent 1.6.6 ICKSlopes + official Client-mod.
Stained Glass: Works with plugin ICSGlass + mod_StainedGlass that I'm posting below.

    -------------------ItemCraft v1.6.4---------------------
    ItemCraft.jar - v1.6.4(for CraftBukkit RB #1000)
<Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url>
<Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url>

    -------------------ItemCraft v1.6.1(Older Version for CB # 953)---------------------

Note: (ItemCraft has been updated to 1.6.2. Please use that version instead, as it allows for usage without installing ModloaderMP and mod_ICCompat.)
<Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url>
-- Rename to ItemCraft.jar or change your launch method on the server.. just rename.

Install this mod on your client to work around the 'bad packet 230' bug. Its only purpose is to send its version number to the server, and this will work as a substitute for other more complex ModloaderMP mods that are out there.

As stated in the first post, Water Mobs don't work.
And besides that, other animals work, maybe you just didn't see them yet. It took a while for me in the beginning as well before I saw them all.
