    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Maybe you have some Blocks/Items in your Inventory that got chnaged or corrupted. Try deleting your player.dat and join again.

  7. The ICMiner plugin uses block id's 117 (minerscuba) & 118 (minercustom) - which appear also to be used by SDK's guns - unless these have been modified by the user, then there is possibly a conflict here.
    Because you can play solo does not automatically mean you can play SMP as well - servers require a little more fine-tuning. I haven't tested this yet to see if this is the issue, I haven't got all the mods yet, and there are now far more combinations that people are going to add in mods, so support issues are going to be a little more problematic and take more time to find the eventual answer.

    The ICFancyPack plugin listed in the OP is compatible with the unofficial updates BigBrother has done to bring the SSP version up to 1.6.6 - but make sure you download Version 5 on this thread, not 6 or 7 - asgaard has not updated that plugin in a while to allow BB to fix all the bugs and add whatever features. It's quite stable now however, so I'm hoping he updates it soon - I miss having alternate fence textures :(

    If you do upgrade to 1.6.6 version, start with RB860 - that's ItemCraft 1.4.5. If the ModLoaderMP mods are things you're interested in, upgrade to RB935/ItemCraft1.5.1 from there. Personally I stay at 860 because there isn't anything interesting to me translated to ModLoaderMP right now, but I can confirm both work quite well.

    Okay, i've made a pack with all my mods on my server, i've remove the conflicutal mods, i've put the 16 bit entity mod in my minecraft, i've update my modloadermp, i've do everything, BUT when i join my server there is a black screen! :3.

    To complete 3kman, don't forget to disable :
    - Bunny because they bugs and make your server had SEVERE lags
    - WaterMobs, because they just don't work..

    And : thoses values would be put in a "oldscript.ic" in you ItemCraft/ICScript
    and "oldscript.ic" includeold will be in plugins.ic

    1) Make sure you're on 1.6.6 and the mods you're installing are also for 1.6.6 - if not, no amount of messing with this will work right now as ItemCraft isn't at 1.7.2 yet. Installing a 1.7.2 mod in your 1.6.6 minecraft.jar probably will be bad.
    2) Does it start up in Single Player? If not, it's not ItemCraft's fault - it's yours. Fix your install. Are you installing one of the ModloaderMP mods 3kman linked in his post? Whether you want it or not you have to install one client-side - it's a BUG in 1.5.1 that requires it.
    3) Did you install the mods in the PRECISE ORDER AND CONTENT of this post, both client and server-side? If not, start with a fresh 1.6.6 minecraft.jar and try again. If need be, redownload the mods you're using making sure to get the 1.6.6 versions (remember, FancyPack requires version 5, not 6 or 7).
    4) If SSP starts up fine and you have Bukkit RB935, ItemCraft 1.5.1 and ICMCreatures/ICFancyPack where they need to be, with the plugins.ic file set to enable those mods and you STILL can't connect, either you have a connection issue or God hates you. I'm out of ideas - this works perfectly for me.

    To change IDs edit the plugins.ic file to set different IDs for whatever you have conflicting - reference the OP under MoreTrees for details on how to do this, it's very similar for Slopes. Also, remember you have to edit the .props file on your client to mirror whatever you change the server to, for any mod you change. A note - you currently can't change what blocks ICNReefs uses for coral - you're stuck with default 176-180, so edit the other mods to avoid them. >< Found that out the hard way.

    My advice would be to change the IDs client-side and start a game in Single Player first. When you can load the world up without BlockID conflicts, make the same changes to your server's plugins.ic file and try connecting.

    i can play in solo, perfectly, but not in MP ..
    EDIT : I havn't found an block conflict, but when i start my server, there is this :

    Looking forward to this plugin being updated to 1.7.2... pretty much all of the common mods people use (SuperSlopes, etc) have been updated now as MCP is 1.7.2 compliant. I know Notch is working on the modding API, but I really wish he'd hurry up and get it finished, as all these quick-fire bugfixes are killing the community. I'd say the modding API is more important than anything else, since if people can make mods easier, he won't have so many people bugging him for new features in future updates.

    - I'd start a fresh RB935 server with ONLY ItemCraft1.5.1, run it once to let it generate what files it needs and create a new world.
    - Shut server down, then copy/paste your old plugins.ic in, along with whatever ICPlugins you're using.
    - Start server again and make sure it loads properly (it should if you only replace those files and your plugins.ic was right in the first place - if not, start with a fresh one and re-edit what your server requires).
    - Shut server down, and load in your Bukkit plugins.
    - Restart your server once more, and given everything loads the way it's supposed to, try to connect.
    - If you can connect, shut the server down and edit your Bukkit plugin settings to whatever you had them to before, load up your old worlds, etc and restart server.

    I think i keep also RB860 because don't need modloaderMP also... Itemcraft make more and more options and perhaps too much... I hope Asdaarg make Modloader optional (like 16bits modules) in futures releases.

    asdaarg, is it possible for you to update the Source and Old Version listing? I was bored yesterday, and started upgrading ItemCraft to 1.7.2, but Fernflower wasn't able to cleanly decompile a few of the files.

    I managed to get it to start up with the latest Craftbukkit, but I used the ModloaderMP version of ItemCraft mistakenly, and seem to be stuck at the 'bad packet id 230' bug. I kinda have a feeling I missed some sections that the compiler didn't flag for me although, and would love to be able to compare against the original code if possible.
