    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Ahh, so installing a ModLoaderMP mod client-side - whether mirrored on the server or not - fixes the 230 error? Hopefully I'm not stuck putting Planes on there, it's sort of a waste of IDs for my server. Maybe Grappling Hook?

    Im wondering about the changes too. Especially for porting Mods. But i hadnt time to Test the Translation Process with the new Version yet. I hope that some methods that were not usable are now.
    But ModLoaderMP for bukkit has its own way of translating Mods i guess. Ill have a look at that too. But personally i like asdaargs way more. Its easier for Users to just place a jar in a Folder than changing the IC.jar itsself.

    Read the OP. There's a link to a proper request thread.

    Got everything working properly on 1.5.1 using Grappling Hook as the catalyst for ModLoaderMP. The item itself sucks ass, but all components craft properly. All Bukkit and ItemCraft plugins seem to work, no issues crafting them either. Custom items with damage values won't summon however (sigh Coral Reefs and Slopes) but it's a minor annoyance, possibly remediable. Everything looks nice asgaard, nice work! :)

    Might I suggest a dummy mod as a catalyst for ModLoaderMP? Something like a bit of code to trigger ModloaderMP for people that don't want any mod in particular but want to run ItemCraft 1.5.1? It could be installed next to ModloaderMP, called maybe mod_ItemCraftBlank or something. Perhaps talk to krynlng about adding to one of his packages, or put it in the OP as a requirement? Seeing as 1.7.2 is the new hotness this might be wasted effort, but I personally won't be upgrading until all the things I want are too; I'm not sure how many feel the way I do.

    Damage Values not working is a rather big Issue as many Mods use this. FancyPack uses it too and StainedGlass.

    I was going to see if i could fix the placing the plane/visibility problem, but it seems to be placed fine and the plane is visible. Only problem I have is not knowing how to get the plane off the ground. Edit: nvm, but now i can't figure out how to point the nose down

    Hmm still cant get the Workbench to open. Ill try /give me a Plane.
    And i can confirm that damage Values are buggy.
    I ported my Mod that uses damage values and when i place them in SP everything is fine.
    But in MP the wrong values get placed.
    This is the code from my Mod and its off by 2. So for example when i place value "j == 4" i get the image from value "j == 6". Maybe this helps in finding the Problem.

    Hmm cant find the ID to give me Planes. Whats the Number?

    Stupid mistake on my part. I thought I downloaded the latest version of ItemCraft v1.5.1, but didn't clear the browser cache so I ended up downloading some older version (I assume that the same link was used with different version of that file). Once the cache is cleared, I downloaded the file again, and the server side seems to be running. Now I have to tackle the client; still getting "Bad packet id 230" when attempting to connect. Just a suggestion to have the downloads numbered with the version you're releasing; that way browser cache wouldn't be an issue, and the users knows exactly what they're getting.

    Great mods. The Minecraft experience is totally enhanced because of these mods. Many thanks.

    I changed bukkit version.(860->935)
    And changed ICplugin version.(1.4.5->1.5.1)
    Now I have a problem.
    When I start Minecraft6.bat file, it load server, but doesnt load ICplugin.
    Server is going well except ICplugin.
    what should I do?
    Everything is same as before update. except that 2 jar file.

    I would strongly advise not to use the newest Version on a Live Server, because of the damage value Bug. I dont know what it does to already build Blocks. But when it behaves like when you place them, it could do extensive damage to your Map. So beware. I would wait until the Bugs with the new ModLoaderMP are sorted out before updating.

    Thats because MCP isnt updated yet.
    If MCP is updated or not you can see here. Its no use asking for a Update before MCP isnt updated, because asdaarg needs it to make new mappings..

    Well first we have to wait for mcp to be released for 1.7.2
    Then we will have item craft for 1.7.2 but no mods since all of the mod developers has to update aswell so you could say anytime soon after mcp release and mod developers updates.

    I just tested IndustrialCraft. Its the same as with Planes. Cant open the new Furnacegui. And Items are not woring too (cables, transmitters).

    Back to trying to port microcubes. Am in contact with the author of the mod, lets see if we can manage together.

    Quick question(s):

    1) Is there a newer version of the maps? Mine is dated from 21.6.2011, size 256kb
    2) Using 1.5.1 with CB 935 for this test cycle (need the RegisterTileEntity method) - any concerns? Client mod i am using is still for 1.6.6
    3) Am i right in the assumption thet IF i have the original sourcecode, i can simply put that im my retrosource folder (overwriting the .java files that were decompiled in the last try by jad).

    1. No there are no new/updated mappings as far as i know.
    2. When you have a Error with RegisterTileEntity in your _mod file try adding .class to the entity its refferring to.
    3. No you have to translate with the Translator or else it wont work. The original sourcecode (java files) wouldnt work with Minecraft too until it gets reobfuscated.

    I'm tring to install itemcraft but, I'm not sure of something. In the instructions, it says:

    To start:

    Do I juste put this in a notepad and name it RUN.bat or I have the replace a part of the normal starting text by this?

    Thx for the feedback, tried 2) in the past when the dummy method was not implemented, didnt work.

    For 3) i am aware that i still need to translate with ICTranslator, but i think i should be able to skip the step of using jad to decompile. We agreed to do that beginnig of next week when MCP / modlaodermp etc are updated, no big use in doing that now for 1.6.6.

    Hopefully, if all goes well, we will see microcubes soon on Bukkit!

    Would be great. Tried to port it myself. Got so far that i could craft Hammers and open up the GUI. But it behaved strange. You couldnt use it.

    The download link that is written ''Current version'' is for minecraft 1.6.6 or for minecraft 1.7.2? And if it's for 1.6.6 where can i find the one for 1.7.2?
