[MECH] CraftBook - Redstone bridges, gates, minecarts, ICs, more [BukkitDev]

    CraftBook adds a number of original gameplay elements to Minecraft from switchable bridges to elevators to gates (including flood gates)! It also has redstone support, allowing you to wire up pumpkins and use integrated circuits!

    @Strebelschneck, make a 3 way switch with an inverted or-gate. You hook up the 2 handles to an or-gate and invert the output of the or gate. schematics how to make an or gate are easy to find with google.

    I tried that alrdy, but it didnt work. But im pretty tired right now so ill try it again tomorrow. redstones are frustrating.

    EDIT: Okay, i figured it out. The XNOR-Gate solved it. Yeeh!

    It doesn't work. If 1 lever is activated, activating the other one doesn't trigger the gate. Isn't there any way to do this?

    "when its ready" they will have alpha2 out "soon" - fully functional.... thats a ways off, if you want fully functional, come back after the game is out of beta and things settle down some.

    they WILL support permissions, however permissions support may not be included in the upcomming alpha2. If you would like to help code in permissions support, fire up your java IDE and hope in irc @ irc.esper.net #craftbook

    the .jars are not makeing the craftbook.propertys file in side the folder. thrus nothing is working right now

    Ok guys, hopefully this will stop a lot of these repeat questions (i doubt it though)
    At this time (march 22th 2011) Craftbook is currently in Alpha 1, Alpha 2 is due out SOON (no ETA, just when its ready)

    Currently in Alpha 1 Most minecart control features DO NOT work.

    Currently in Alpha 1 IC's DO NOT work

    Currently in Alpha 1 Doors DO NOT work

    Currently in Alpha 1 Gates DO work

    Currently in Alpha 1 Bridges DO work

    Currently in Alpha 1 there ARE NOT any configuration files in /plugins/CraftBook

    Currently in Alpha 1 there ARE NO support for permissions

    Currently in Alpha 1 YOU CAN use Minecart Mania, so long as you remove CraftbookVehicles.jar

    Also for those of you who want IC's now, FalseBook has a independent implementation of IC's, however CraftBook 3.0 when its released will support many more IC's than are currently available. Please dont ask for support for FalseBook in this thread as it is not supported by sk89q!


    Planned in Alpha 2 (not yet released!):

    Configuration files in /plugins/Craftbook (probably)

    Some Working IC's (probably all, however i can promise SOME will work)

    As well as all current WORKING features

    Limited permissions *may* be introduced into Alpha2, however it is more likely permissions support will wait until bukkit integrates permissions!

    see the above post, and please READ THE FORM before posting, this question has been answered 15+ times on just about EVERY PAGE of this thread.

    Define not working right? What is not working? At this time (Alpha1 - note "ALPHA") there is NO WAY to configure CraftBook, you get it in its present FULLY CONFIGURED/ENABLED state.

    wel i meen as in NOTHING is working not the carts, IC's, doors, etc... well i geus its back to falsebook with works 100%

    If nothing is working you dont have something setup right, have you checked server log for errors? i know in Alpha1 boosters for carts work, in cart control does not work, IC's do not work, Doors do NOT work, gates and bridges DO work....

    In the Dev Build of Alpha2 SOME IC's work (see my above post for link)

    yes i did look for errors in the log theres nothing there, on startup everything looks normal no errors in sight, and no errors listed when i tryed the diffrent items. i think this plugin should be unlisted untill it is fixed u know. i dont meen that to been meen or anythink so dont get me wrong.

    The plugin is CLEARLY listed as alpha and is under active development, the requirements to have a plugin listed in the section are met by this plugin. If you don't understand how to read a forum/or are too lazy, you have no business running a server. We have clearly stated what does and does not work, not only in the sticky at the top of this thread, but also in multiple posts throughout the thread. If you have a problem with this please don't come back.

    When you say the plugin is not working, are the features i listed AS working working? or are you just complaining our TODO list is not finished?

    The reason your getting the ass treatment is because i have offered to help you, and specified what does and does not work, however your reply is "there are no errors, it does not work, and it should be de-listed" you do not specify what (if anything) does not work, what you have tested, and weather it is listed as working or not in the thread. If you post details about what does not work we are happy to help. So, if you would kindly explain WHAT you have tried, WHAT version of bukkit / craftbook / worldedit you are using, and WHAT EXACTLY does not work, we can get things fixed up for you. Aside from asking for details on what is not working for you, there is nothing we can do to help you.

    " IC's, doors" are both listed as NOT working. "minecart stuff, etc" i can confirm booster blocks work, in cart control does not... this is also listed in the thread. when you say etc... again everything that does/does not work is listed.... in THIS POST .

    Is your issue that our TODO list is not finished, or are you also having trouble with GATES, BRIDGES, AND BOOSTER BLOCKS?

    no my issue is that im not getting any errors at all start log says it loads but i cant get any thing to work thats not on the not working list

    ok, so bridges, gates, and boosters are not working for you? what version of bukkit are you using? what version of worldedit? are you using Alpha1 or Dev build of CraftBook?

    without worldedit he would be getting shit loads of errors, he doesnt care to provide details of his setup, and trolls on here complaining its broke and falsebook is better. I offered to help on every post to him and asked him for details several times. I'm done with him.

    Is there some kind of changes with the Minecart system, from hMod to Bukkit?
    Our Minecart station works with the hMod version of Craftbook, but not Bukkit.

    Can you make a .properties file for disabling certain elements from the plugin?

    EDIT: I understand there will be such files in the next version. But when is it coming out?

    All I can give you is "when it is ready". But you can disable the main chunks of craftbook by just not using the certain jar files.
