Like the idea but when is it coming out?

I like the idea and was wondering why you were making it when there is already hmod and was wondering when it is coming out as i would really like to try it, sorry if you are getting this question a lot.

It would come out when it does, Good work takes time.

 

I know, i would just like a rough date like 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months and maybe even 2 years?
It would just be nice to have an estimate.

 

Bukkit is in a working condition right now, but it needs more of the admin stuff + hooks, it will come soon however.

 

OK thanks, so the main mod is working you are ust going to implement some more admin stuff before releasing it?

 

Craftbukkit (the server) need more hooks to do that, developers are working on it.

Its hard to set a specific date, as some hooks are harder to add then others.

 

Ok cool thanks, when you have got it sorted will you put up a test server so everyone can see what it is like?

 

You could easily setup your own test server right now.

 

Where in the world do you download Bukkit from? And also, is it going to be available for Windows as well as Linux?

You can compile the source and run it right now.

 

ive been trying to do that for over an hour but im haveing a problem in org.bukkit.plugin with something called yaml ive done a search and its a "
a human friendly data serialization
standard for all programming languages."
but when i add Jyaml to the build path the problem still arrises

[Edit]: after going through the code i found you need SnakeYaml not JYaml

 

I rent a server so i can't really test it as i cannot ask them to create a test server and test this on it and i do not know how to port forward so i cannot create a server with it on yet
I would happily test it on someone else's

 

@Hamish_G What do you mean, rent a server? if you have the server you can just switch the files out. Its not hard.

I can't really stop the server when i have others on, i do not find that fair on them so i will most likely wait before testing it, if i knew when it was coming out fully i would do it then just incase i could not revert to hmod easily, i think i will talk to my host but thanks for the offer
