  1. A friend of mine once started a project (DPP), and he has abandoned it and I dont want to be part of it anymore, how do I leave the project?

I have removed you from the project in question! It may take a period of time for your forum profile to reflect the change.

I have the same issue, the original developer won't respond to anything and I don't want to be part of the project anymore, why isn't there a report button on the dev.bukkit site?
Plugin I want to leave: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/bedhospital/

That is one well hidden button, ty ;) reported it with the question for removal of my name, should be able to do it myself though ( my opinion )

Better yet, why is there no leave project button for non managers of a project? I think it is kind of weird that you're stuck in a project forever unless the manager removes you or a member of staff removes you.

It can get hairy when there's drama. And that's not something that's entirely unheard of on BukkitDev, unfortunately. I would also foresee people accidentally leaving projects when the manager isn't around to re-add them -- maybe you don't believe me, but if you saw the reports we get, you would.

It's just easier for major events like that to be done by staff. It's a very simple process and we'll happily do it for you, but it's better for it to go through staff.

Also, with any user interface there's the problem that people can be unsure what a button or link does, and have the only way to find out be to try doing it, where if it's not what they wanted it's too late to decide not to do it. And, not to be mean, but BukkitDev's web interface suffers from that a *lot*, with many parts of the interface for developers being quite non-intuitive. Someone could think that "leave project" means "get off this web page and go somewhere else" rather than "stop being a member of the team".
