I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

Are sure about the capitalization? The world names are case sensitive.

MySQL server seems busy, freezed or protected by a firewall.

Can you give me a small guide on how to combine logblock with mcbans ?
    Thanks in advance =)

  7. Offline

    DiddiZ

    That's rather easy :D
You need the questioner (I won't make it rollback without asking)
Then enable questioner.askollbackAfterBan (or something similar, I forgot the exact name)
The ban permission should be ok (unless mcbans changed it)

After a restart everyone who uses /ban <player> and has the ban permissions gets asked if he wants to rollback the player (no need for rollback permission, just the ban permission)

Sry, that wouldn't be really the purpose of a logging plugin
Have a look at the FAQ:

Great plugin, it is always nice to find and remove people who are destroying your server

Could you also please add support for PermissionEx?

I just re-did my complete server permission system from 3.1.6 to PEX, because of some other plugins stopping support for 3.1.6
I also believe that permissions isn't developed further anymore.

    Please would you considder this

  12. Offline

    DiddiZ

PEX is supported, you just need the bridge (Permissions.jar in pex zip)
Um, despite it's simple I'm just too busy.

Most likely the bugged CB version, updating cb should fix that.

Are you really sure you didn't omit the player, or had an odd space there?
/lb rb player bryantc1997 area 40 should be fine

Logblock officially HATES multiworlds. Here is what happens when I roll a player back. It effects ALL worlds. There are the griefed pieces of another world floating in the air in another world in the same spot.

ok, just a random question, im pretty sure i know what this means:

    Code:
21:47:38 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 91866
21:47:40 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 91462

21:47:43 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 88154
21:47:44 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 87350
21:47:46 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 87300
21:47:47 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 86298

21:47:50 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 83745
im assuming it means that all the events being logged are getting clogged and are overflowing. is it likely that this is causing lagish problems on my server? its getting the queue overloaded for simple things like joining:

    Code:
    21:53:59 [INFO] [bPermissions - debug] Setup player:bigfootpoacher took 65ms
21:53:59 [INFO] bigfootpoacher [/173.191.1.83:60409] logged in with entity id 68
    513 at ([world] -6051.71875, 67.6875, -608.71875)
21:54:38 [INFO] [LogBlock Consumer] Queue overloaded. Size: 1376
how can i stop it from doing that? even if its not causing lag, it clogs up the console horribly

  21. Offline

    DiddiZ

Hey, check your world configs if they really log into different tables.
The queue processes fast enough, that's not the problem.
But you can still adjust some consumer settings, like doubling timePerRun.

  22. @DiddiZ
    Request:
    Change logblock.spawnTools into logblock.tools.spawn.

    Reason:
When i give out logblock.tools.* i kinda imply i want to give out ALL tool related stuff and not just some of it.

  23. @DiddiZ
Is it possible to check ONLY lava/water placements?
    Or waterflow/lavaflow already do that?

  24. Offline

    DiddiZ

Hm, maybe. Makes sense to me.
/lb created block water lava player !lavaflow !waterflow
And you get all placed water/lavablocks placed by players.

Thank You SO much diddiz! You make me feel stupid every time but your awesome and are able to fix everything! It was all the tables were lb-main but now its lb-main-WorldName! Also, I am no longer getting version errors and 100% rollbacks. Also beat my old friend HawkEye! I created a 3 million block attack and tested with LB, timed it, (4 minutes) and hawkeye it was 23 minutes. Logblock missed 3 edits, Hawkeye missed 126 edits. This was just on a test copy server with tons loads of fire. If I did not have to pay for my server i'd donate!
