DeathSpawn - A spawn location for death

Commands:
/setdeathspawn - Change the death spawn position
/deathspawn - Teleports you to death spawn


Permissions:
deathspawn.setspawn - Access to /setdeathspawn
deathspawn.spawn - Access to /deathspawn

- Now setting the DeathSpawn to the world's spawn location after the first use (Not working with EssentialsSpawn)

Instructions:
Drag the .jar file into your plugins folder. Don't do anything else!
Do only edit the config file if you want to manually edit the position!

Updating to 1.2:
Copy your location.dat file from the DeathSpawn folder. Now delete all of DeathSpawn's files and drag the new .jar in. Start the server and login. After that go to plugins/DeathSpawn/data and replace the location.dat file with the one in your clipboard (Paste the file you copied).
That's it. Have fun!

Confused. What does this plugin do? Teleport players to a set location on death? Like the regular spawn? Or does it separate the death spawn from the first login spawn?

It creates a 2nd spawn position for players when they die. The normal spawn still works for the 1st login or /spawn.

i remember the deathpoints (as a ghost) in World of Warcraft.
Maybe add a way for multiple deathspawns?

 

If I figured out splitting of properties text then I could do the save formatting like this:
deathspawnname:x:y:z:yaw: pitch
Then you type /setmydeathspawn [deathspawn] that will change where you spawn.

 

im not gona use this, just got a idea about it
the idea was, that the serveradmin is (for example) setting up a deathspawn every 30 chunks. the player will respawn at the deathspawn nearest to them - like in World of Warcraft...

 

I know in SMP the players spawn around a certain point, but not at an exact point (at least I'm pretty sure that's how it was last time I checked, maybe it changed.) Does this also do this? Or does it teleport them to the same exact coordinates every time?

 

is the /setdeathspawn - Universal for all players, or can it be set for each player?

This plugin is worthless. It doesn't do ANYTHING related to death/dying. It's just another /warp plugin with less features.

Steps:

I /setdeathspawn.
I /slay.
I am now nowhere near there.

 

Maybe /slay uses its own spawn position try a natural death.

 

Drowning sent me to the proper place.

I use /slay frequently, on my self and others. Think it could be fixed?

 

Essentials' /kill works fine.

It's universal

Think of what you could do with it. You could send death players to the nether/skylands for example. Or build a hospital and set the deathspawn in it. And no it's not a /warp plugin, because this plugin doesn't even have /warp.

I don't use Essentials.

I use WorldGuard's /slay.


Also: Died by falling, wound up at the far-away spawn.

 

I was hoping this was a plugin that would AUTO send players after death upon respawn to a place. It doesn't even do that.

what does /setdeathspawn for?
Save you coordinates in your current position??

 

It changes the death spawn to your location. When a player dies he/she gets teleported to that position.

 

Feature request:
Any change of being able to set a death spawn for each world?
Eg. Die on World1, get sent to death spawn on World1; die on World2, get sent to death spawn on World2

Oh and the plugin works fine for me, just make sure you turn off all spawn control in other plugins, Worldguard, Multiverse, etc...

Yes but it automaticly executes /deathspawn when you die.

 

doesn't work, when I die by power creeper or by sinking etc I'm teleported to my default spawnpoint
