AppleTree - The only standalone apple tree plugin.

**IMPORTANT: NEW DEV, USE THIS THREAD: LINK**

    Version: v0.4

AppleTree is a very simple plugin that was designed with the sole idea of turning trees into apple trees. There is a configuration file that will be created in the same folder as craftbukkit called appletree.properties, which you can use to customize different aspects of the plugin.

    Properties Guide:
    • CanDropDecay - (true/false) Whether or not apples drop on decaying leaves.
    • GAChance - (number between 0 and 1) The chance of a golden apple drop. 5% = 0.05
    • CanDropGold - (true/false) If golden apples can drop.
    • AChance - (number between 0 and 1) The chance of an apple drop. 5% = 0.05
*NOTE: The properties file is located in the root server directory!*

    Features:

    • Apples spawn from destroyed leaves.
    • Chance to spawn golden apples as well.
    • Properties file for different settings.

Players on my server love this plugin.

Yesterday I leveled an extremely ugly house made by a player who had not been on for quite some time. Just as I was cutting down the half gone trees, the player logged on. Now that is great timing!

Instead of even noticing that his/ her house is gone, the player pauses, then immediately exclaims "OMG! I JUST FOUND A GOLDEN APPLE!!"

it places the property file outside of the plugin folder and into main directory as my jar file for the server. i was confused on why i couldnt find it.

  9. Would you be willing to share the source code? I would like to do some minor tweaks for my server. I would be willing to share any changes I make.

Whenever you added this to CraftBukkitUpToDate, it still has an older version of your plugin. Could you please contact the developer about your new link, or update your old one?

You should add the Bukkit build it supports to the thread title so lots of people don't ask that same question, or have to spend time reading the last page of the thread to see if it's been answered already.

Also when people filter by version on the plugins site yours will not get skipped.

Sure, I was just worried to do that because I don't always keep up with the builds and AppleTree doesn't have many dependencies and it would be difficult for it to break.

    here's my changes: AppleTree.jar

    Version 0.5
cocoa beans added as a drop
probability can be relative - ony one item can drop from a leaf break
    - (except saplings.. not sure how to turn those off)

@ngc0202 Most plugin devs just put the build number that they've tested it on. So when 612 comes out, you just run your plugin, if it works, then just update the number in the thread title. :) It also gives the feeling that you're consistent with your testing, so more people would be likely to use your plugin!

Also, is it possible to have the AppleTree config file moved into the plugins folder, inside a folder named after the plugin file? This puts it in line with other plugins.

You can check out the xWarp plugin's source for code on auto-creating a folder (just to make your life easier, heh).

    Thanks, and great plugin!

This would be great if you could have different settings for different types of trees.

  29. You should add the compatible build numbers in the title like everyone else does.
