[INACTIVE] iQuest v3.2.0 - Take NPC questing to the next level! [1060]

Yeah,that's right,i quit,you can all go home now...​

Jokes aside, i am forced to quit working on iQuest,for a number of reasons,including:​

​

• The code was old...very old! Updating the entire thing just isn't possible!
• I am really busy with 2 other,bigger,projects, so i can't spend that much time on this!
• I am not as familiar with the code as i could be if i created it!
• Big parts of the code just plain suck...i was a really bad coder when i starter this project!

That being said,don't panic! I am going to recreate iQuest from SCRATCH, using just a small part of the main code! It will act the same,however some of the important changes will be:

• Superperms support! It's the future,it's time for people to switch over...
• More quest types!
• Parties!
• Speed improvements!
• MySQL/SQLite database support!
• Much easier commands,and interface
• Spout support!
• MASSIVE support for RPGWorld, one of the 2 big projects i'm working on...that thing will be INSANE!
• New configuration support! Should be much harder to mess it up...

You may be wondering,how am i going to pull this off? Well, first of all, i have @Samkio , @tips48, @r3Fuze , and the rest of our coding team to help me! However, we all have to work on separate parts of the plugin, so i will make yet another coding team, which will work exlusively at the questing part! (it will also work as a stand-alone,don't worry )

So,that was it, i will start actually working on it now!
If you want to take part in development,just PM me! If you have atleast one plugin,i'll probably know you already!

OMg im failing at typing... I meant to say that.. I double LEFT CLICK the NPC!@ but it wont Let me drop the quest! This is getting on my nerve :C and i just got back from the hospital cause i got my appendix removed... god this hurts :C

Anyway,i had this problem before,can't remember how i solved it though...i'll look into the left click code some more...can you please zip the "plugins" folder and send it to me? Would be much easier if i had your server...
Also,on one left click,it should tell you "left click one more time to drop quest"!

 

It doesnt say "left click one more time to drop quest" Do you want to help me in my server? or Want me to just give u my plugins folder, and if its the plugins folder, do u want everything?

Note: My server atm the one im working with is a test server, so there be only 3 - 4 people max including me.

I'm not able to find these answers anywhere so forgive me if I've missed them:

- Can I limit quests so that people must go to an NPC and may not use the commands?
- Can I make the quests be given in a specific order, from the same NPC?
- I'd really like to make a location part of the quest so we can help guide players around. Is that possible?

 

Yes,you set "use npc based questing" to true in the config!
Nope, would be complicated and not worth it to code!
Yes,you set the quest to be completed at another npc,which is in another area!

Whenever I finish a quest it will say
"you were rewarded with 100 monies"
An internal error occurred while attempting to preform this command.
and it doesn't give me my monies.

 

what economy plugin are you using?

on our server, if u done a few quests, the amount of objectives and reward are double.
for example: one quest in quest.yml, u have to push the lever 1000 times and earn 375 money, but ingame u have to push it 2000time and earn 750 money.
do u know this bug? can i fix it on myselfe?

I believe its in the config under parameter scalequestlevels, try to put it to false. It should not scale objectives depending on quest level anymore

It may be cos u using npcquesting, when u do, only way to get rid off the quest is to rightclick npc u get quest FROM. dropping via console doesnt work even when u admin on -our server

please integrate chain quest and quest limit per player soon, otherwise great plugin!

Well.. I Right Click the NPC to get the Quest right?

Left Click the Same NPC to drop the Quest Right?

Well I can Get the Quest.. but I can't never drop them -.- And this is what I dont get

 

I don't know what that guy meant,but you need to left click to drop...downloading your plugins now!

With your plugins,i set myself as an owner and it worked perfectly (dropping quests)

Err atm is Private, its a test server, I have 3 Servers 1 for testing, 1 for Smp and 1 for RPG
