Weather Man​

Want to control the weather? Now you can! Become a weather man with this plugin. You can set it to rain on, or off. You can clear snow and even strike people with lightening!​

Commands​

/weather rain <time>​

/weather thunder <true|false>​

/weather thunder <playername>​

/weather clear​

​

/weather rain - doesn't need a time, without it, it makes it rain for a default set time.​

Permissions​

weatherman.clear​

weatherman.rain​

weatherman.thunder​

Version 1 - Released!​

Version 2 - Added ability to set rain time!​

Version 3 - Added turning off lightning!​

Version 4 - Removed reach of lightning!​

Version 5 - fixed up the commands a bit.​

Version 6 - now has the command /weather thunder <playername>​

Supports Multiworlds, Permissions and each feature is seperated. So your players can clear the rain while you fry sheep!​

Is it possible to default this to OP's if no permissions are installed?

Wait for the next release of WeatherMan. I've fixed it and will be releasing the fix with the rest of the features.

 

Could you add the ability to get like a stick(or configurable object) and swing it at a creeper (left or right click) that would hit that creeper or any other animal/monster with a lightning strike?

This plugin is definitely a must-have for Mc 1.5. Gonna try it as soon as a RB is back on my server!

 

the rain and clear command seems to have like 5-30 seconds delay most of the time. is that normal?

 

Are you going to have some sort of force-snow command when it is possible=

 

Is it a Minecraft Server or CraftBukkit bug that i never get snow...

That's to do with your server. It's 2 seconds on mine.

Only certain biomes have snow.

 

That's not very nice... Could you re-add the op.txt check? I use groupmanager and this doesn't play nicely with it, and the only person using weather will be myself.

Yay wizards on my server will have to pay "money" to use the lightning ability XD hurry put it in!!!

 

I am on a snow biome terrain and its raining there....

Yeah, I didn't have permissions, and its a pain installing it. Please make it an optional choice.

Just because there's snow on the biome doesn't mean it's a snowy biome. I've had biomes with desert looking biomes with snow.

Hello, I've no error logs to share with you, but whenever I put /weather rain, it starts to snow!
Any help?

 

This is normal. In some biomes it never rains, just snows. There's no way to change this

 

It's going to snow in snow biomes and rain in every other biome.
That's just how Minecraft works, plugins have absolutely no affect on that.

 

do you have multiworld suport on this? it dont work in my secondary world with the clear and rain but lightning work

I dont know if you can, but is it possible to make it snow as well? I'd love that!
Other than this request, I love your plugin, striking my players with lighting is quite fun
I think its something else, but fire and lightning dont seem to do player damage anymore :S

Works for me, but weather is the same between worlds.
And I had my friend try to enable weather in the second world, and when I tried to clear it from the first world it got stuck on raining until I restarted the server.
