Help with essentials chat please

hi I am haveing an issue with chat on my server.I set up the groups I believe correctly and i restarted the server and the colors are not working along with the usergroups i set them to. it simply shows up as white and it is saying the actual A (faction name)r then [player] [player](playername) it is supposed to be usergroup with the appropriate color then username with appropriate color. also i am haveing issues with setting the propper ranks in the game as well.for example i am the owner and i have my name in the op list and it still says i am in the default gorup i renamed to player.but it does give me admin permissions not the op permissions so what can i do to fix these issues and to be bale to do a command ingame to rank the player up to the user group they are supposed to be in?like ifd they are a donator and want to be vip or whatever. here is how i have the permissions set up -- http://pastebin.com/5s9W3VhB

 

Do you have GroupManager set up to actually give people ranks?

 

I have only edited the permissions/yml I will look into GroupManager and let you know how it works ty

I do not see groupmanager in my config files where would it be or do i need to daownload it as well?

It's a separate plugin. Download that as it is a group extension of Essentials.

Could you paste your server.properties? There might be an error in there.

Hehe , btw, I got your skillz plugin It's good, but for some reason they are getting glowstone blocks everytime they level lol, can that be changed to like XP or money?

why dont you support cracked servers?

 

Because they're cracked. The security risks are too big, and the things happening differently in cracked servers are so huge, that giving support for those would mean a chunk of time being pulled away from me. And not only me.

I think it's just a waste of my time, supporting people who haven't even bought the game, or are allowing others to play who haven't bought it.

This is all I'm going to say on this matter.

Personally, I use AuthMe on my own server as some players have a lot of siblings who have access to their Minecraft accounts, and I also use it as a secondary protection to prevent spam-logging in as well as spamming chat directly after entering the server.
