Help. Unable To access jar.file craftbukkit-0.0.1-Snapshot

I have run only nornmal servers of the Minecraft Website. And have recently tried to create a Bukkit server. I have watched many Youtube how to set up Bukkit servers ( on windows ) and i have read the Bukkit wiki how to setup a server. But I run into the same problem everytime I try to create a bukkit server. When I Run.bat it say 'Unable to acces jar.file craftbukkit etc. and I am wondering how to fix this. Please help

 

File craftbukkit-0.0.1-snapshot.jar should be in the main folder of the server.

Configuration run.bat:

"%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar

which is the main folder of the server. is it the Run.bat?

 

just make a folder where you want the server files to be, then place the .bat and the .jar file in the same map.
then try running the .bat file again.

 

They are already in the same folder and i have tried running the .bat file again. i read something about that .jar extension may be hidden in the craftbukkit snapshot which means it says .jar.jar instead of just .jar and i am confused how to change it

 

that can be the issue, what os are u using? (windows xp, windows 7?)

 

windows 7. Do you have something called Teamviewer which allows you to look at my computer screen, you could maybe use that to help me, it would probly be easier

just use cd to navigate to the directory that the craftbukkit.jar is in before you try to start the server

 

what is cd, im not great with computers :/

if my username was captain and the folder with craftbukkit.jar in it was serverstuff

Just for more info, I *could* use a .cmd file to start my server on a mac. A .cmd is the mac equivalent of a .bat on windows. You can also open cmd prompt to do it by hand, instead of clicking a file.

I just said, I am at school in class on a school computer, the team viewer website isn't loading, and at home I have a mac. (can it work cross platform)

 

as my knowledge goes yes it does work cross platform

I actually had the sane problem on my old computer, I fixed it by altering the bat. Try replace the bat code with this:

@echo off
java -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
pause

 

I already fixed it for him. Or, showed him that it was the .bat not his computer

PLEASE HELP ME! Does anyone have skype so I can talk to them. I have the same problem and when I have followed all the youtubers instructions it ALWAYS says

Use My installer, it will make all the files for you with the proper configuration. Link is in the signature

 

When i run the run.bat file it sats unable to access jar.file craftbukkit
