    Tired of those stupid crap golden things??

    Firelord plugin converts you in a Fire Lord when you are using those golden crafts!!
    The fire Sword now set your enemies on fire! The Armor gives you fire resistance! The boots set the ground on fire! And the tools give you the material you mined smelted!!!

    • Golden Sword fire damage over a defined time. You can define the time via configuration
      file, or you can use the ingame command /fl setfiredur [seconds]
    • Golden armor that resists fire / lava (Just Helmet, Chestplate , Leggings)
    • Configuration file, where you can change the items ID (If you want this to work with iron armor for example, you can)
    • Golden boots set ground on fire on step
    • If you wear golden armor, who damages you gets fire damage.
    • ALL features configurable now, in the configuration file also configuration on the fly for admins.
    • Golden Pick/Axe/Shovel, gives you the item smelted when you mine/cut/dig with them! (Thanks to Samkio and his Superheat plugin!)

                                            /fl | firelord fireresist on/off Allows/disallows the armor lava/fire resistance.
                                            /fl | firelord firereflect on/off Allows/disallows the armor fire reflect damage.
                                            /fl | firelord firestep on/off Allows/disallows the boots to set the ground on fire on step(DANGEROUS!)
                                            /fl | firelord overwater on/off Allows walking on water with golden boots.(TODO)
                                            /fl | firelord overlava on / off Allows walking on the lava with golden boots.(TODO)

    The Video contains copy protected material from SME...and does not play in Switzerland because of that. pls fix if possible.

    I just tried this on build 617 and when i try to do /fl it says that command doesn't exist. same for /firelord anyone else seeing this?

    The problem is that I updated this before the 1.4 version of minecraft. I will fix soon.

    Please , Try this out. I cannot test it by myself with 612, Also I added the Author line in the plugin.yml.

    Please try the lastest release:

    And tell me if it persists, Also, do you have the firelord.admin permission rigth ?

    If this persists , i will have to change the command usage to the OnCommand, but you can still use firelord with the config file.

    I personally can not try it, but if you did add the Author line then the error I was quoting will be fixed.

    It was confirmed to be the issue on #Bukkitdev.

    Yes, I could try myself and 0.5.3 is working. However the ingame command is not.

    As soon as I can I will fix this, but for now the plugin is fully functional from with config file.

    If you find another bug or issue, im pleaseured to help and fix it.

    If you are using the correct signature already [onPlayerJoin(PlayerJoinEvent event)] and find a way to make it shut-up about this, please let me know. I have the correct signature but can not figure out why it still pesters me.

    Im not using that event anymore. So I just removed the registering thing from the plugin inicialization.
    So i cannot help u :S Maybe if I can take a look to your code I can figure something, you have github right ?

    I already know this. It will be fixed in the next release.
    It is not a important thing because my plugin doesnt use that event anymore, so that is a remain from the past.

    I like it, unfortunatly its just a plugin thats done already.
    meaning: you cant customize what thing does what.

    I'd like to be able to give diamond armor the ability to breath under water. etc
    Meaning: do not give a setting thats done, make it customizable.
    make it possible to set in a config what action has what part or quality of armor.

    But you can give a preset, (like the one you made)

    think about that please.

    First of all, I don't know where is the plugin that already does this.
    The main objective of this plugin is to create a class like state for the players, if you wear the full armor you are the FireLord, and you get powers related with the fire.
    Im planning to add some other features, like a mana system that activates when you are the "firelord", and that will come with some skills and magics related to the fire.

    I disagree with you in that this is not customizable, you have a config file and you can change there the items that compose the armor and the sword.
    For example, if you want a red flower to set on fire on touch , just change the sword id to the flower id in the configuration file.
    The same happens any of the other items. The posibility to breath underwater is not yet implemented, but if it was, it would be added by default to the Gold Helmet, so if you want it to be attached to the diamond armor, just change the ID.

    Also To be FULLY customizable, in the next release I will add to the config file the posibility to set the items that perform to you the state of "firelord", at the moment are golden helment, chestplate and leggings.

    Thank you for the feedback, But please take a look to the configuration file, because almost all the things you said can be done.


    I have been noticed about this, in my country this is not a problem, i can see the video without problems.

    I am very busy at this moment :S, And i dont have the raw video without music, so I would have to rerecord the video and I dont have time to atm.

    I woud be very happy if someone can record a video with fraps of the functionalities of my plugin.

    @w4rgo well I wasn't correct at all.
    There is a plugin like this but not the same, it allows you to breath in water with a diamond helmet and other actions.

    I like your plugin and I respect all of your work, not to get me wrong.
    But I would prefer a bit more customizability.
    Plugins these days are written for only 1 purpose, while they could perform more, this is something that really bugs me sometime.

    Not telling you how to work: but predefine a lot of actions and let users choose what action they bind to an item or armor piece or tool.

    I like your plugin but it could be used for more :)

    It's like this vampire plugin.. you can do a few settings for 1 race but not for multiple ones,
    because it has only enable/disable functions for that vampire race,
    but he could have added more options to make more races: like not only
    suck blood, get thirsty for blood etc.
    but also add things like: breath under water to make it possible to make more races out of 1 plugin.
    however this is the wrong thread here for this..
    I hope you know what I mean.
    Adding more options would not fit the title Firelord anymore, but this plugin gives me so much ideas what could be possible with it.

    Thanks for reading w4rgo, again: I respect all of your work and just wan't to tell what is sad about these 1 way plugins.

    Hi there Misan,

    First of all I would like you to take a look to my plugin configuration file. The posibility to link the actions to other items is present, it just dont say something like "AbilityToResistFire" it says "Chestplate" And you can chose other item there to behave like that.

    Also your other point is to have more abilities, but non-fire related skills will not fit with my plugin, this is something like a class plugin.

    But your idea is good, to have many skills configurables as the wish of the Admin.
    When I have time I will take this into consideration, and maybe I will make a branch of my project with a different name, just allowing a bunch of skills to set to a bunch of items.

    But for all the skills present in my plugin , they are already fully customizable, for example, if you want a cacti block to mine smooth stone from smooth stone instead of cobblestone, you just have to change the id of Pick for the id of the Cacti item.

    You can already change all the ids related with this plugin in the config file, please take a look.

    I really like this plugin.
    A library of characteristics you can assign to people/groups and items

    I plan to have something like a magical nation which can learn different ways of magic.
    (necromancing, elemental, runecasting, etc)
    Having the ability to "learn" the whole skill tree you serve here would be awesome :)
    also to assign groups.
    I need people who can learn to utilize their golden chest plate either as flame guard, or as waterproof infinite air guard :)

    Also, gold hoe should do something... Maybe make a fire circle around you. Or maybe a temporary lava wall as a shield.

    Does this work with WG? In testing people were able to set eachother on fire in town (in a no-PVP zone). Anyone know if there is a region flag or something to fix this?

    I have a group with:
    • firelord.pick
    • firelord.axe
    • firelord.shovel
    Still, they can use fire sword, and their tools do fire damage on mobs/pvp. They do not have firelord.sword. Could u fix it?

    Is there a way to remove SuperHeat, I just want the sword with fire, not wanting it to cook meat?

    would it be possible to give it a percentage that things happen. Eg.

    25% change that the sword will set the enermy on fire,
    20% change it will spelt ore as you mine.

    This would make it much more useful for an RPG server.

    I've noticed a serious bug with at least gold shovel and axes.

    Each time you use it the durability goes down, but if you right click it goes back up making it a never ending item.
    If you use it until it breaks and you right-click, it respawns a new one in your hand leading to unlimited shovels.

    I'm afraid I might have to remove this from my server or upset my player's economy. :/

    is this plugin not supported anymore? I love this one we use chainmail instead of gold to protect from fire and can only get it from giants and without this there wouldnt be much reason to hunt giants :/ . Can anyone who knows what's up with this plugin enlighten us :) It still works as it is but hasn't been updated in a while so just wanted to see if its still active.
