    Is this any way to change NPC's name, but leave it's skin(by previously name)?

    No. The skin comes from minecrafts skin db.. Change the name, change the skin
    Unfortunately that's the way it is

    The citizens doesn't give me messages when I use /citizens or any of the commands except toggle and the /npc create.

    I agree, it would let the thread stay clear and you dont have to read 'n scroll through hundrets of pages and read always the same post/porblems!
    It would make a crafters life easier :)

    Can you edit the OP to note that Traders arent working in the current build? I guess its common knowledge in this 139 page thread, but i just wasted an hour trying a ton of different permissions trying to get it to work.

    Also any idea when they are coming? :)

    Love this mod, and im hoping to find a way to tie it into my Towny mod at some point.
    Are there any plans to extend the API for developers to call other than checking if its a NPC?

    For example an idea i have for tying it into towny is for a town to be allowed X amount of guards based on their size, and all the guards created would automatically have all its town residents(and friends) on the white list, and going to war would set all those enemies on the black list...


    By default i would think guards should be agnostic, with every player on their white list. Not the other way around, but thats just me :) Kinda annoying to make a guard and he bumrushes you and pushes you around trying to kill you while you set him up...

    Hello I have the problem that I can't Buy/Sell stuff from a Trader.

    Everything is seems alright.

    I use:
    1.6.6

    Essentials Group Manager
    Mitglieder:
    default: false
    permissions:
    - citizens.*

    And Iconomy
    /money help and all the other commands work fine

    This Group can create NPC and everything... that works

    So after I created an NPC, Toggled him into a trader ,Set the buy/sell list up, and the unlimited stock...

    When I/Others click the Trader its opening the Inventory and Minecraft Chat says:

    Transaction Log
    ----------------------------
    ----------------------------

    and I can take the Items from him... so no selling or buying

    Is this a known problem? Are there any fixes?

    and define node for perissions, what permission node are u after. In general yes this has nodes.

    Maybe no guard nor waypoints, though

    I want to thank you guys for all the hard work you put into this plugin. My server really loves it, and I can't wait to implement the new additions. Your plugin never ceases to thrill me.

    1.0.8g should fix many bugs, major and small, that have been affecting Citizens. Hopefully should also include a fix for those experiencing saving issues.

    Excellent news ! My users just LOVE that plugin. only regret : we initially put so many NPC that we crashed the server (more than a hundred on a 2 Go RAM server :eek:, it didn't like it).
    So we're considerably limiting the number because even with the Wiki's advice I've been unable to reduce the induced latency. (tic delay, Talkwhenclose false...)

    @Melgrin - if you have used pre-1.5 versions only, the new 1.6 versions may provide better performance.

    What can I do that the Moderators can use the trader.

    They should be able to buy from my trader him and create and modify their own traders.
    But it doesn't work! Nobody can buy from my trader.

    I also agree to this, maybe not deleting posts, but allowing plugin authors to flag posts to be collapsed (like the OP) by default so they we would have to expand them to view. This would allow for the full archive, but also allow for stupid posts to be sort of hidden from view.

    Thanks for reading my message :D

    Yet, the server overload has also been noticed this week end after one of our admins decided to add his NPC almost everywhere on the map, reaching the number of 89 NPC, the server began to induce severe lag (up to 5 seconds) and began kicking players / refusing connexion (delay exceeded), and we've been using 1.6.6 (Bukkit 818) since its release. Note : The server's PING was below 40 ms, and PuTTy functionned perfectly.

    I've tried rebooting the server physically (fail), shutting down most other plugins and limitating Monster Spawns (fail) and deactivate Citizens (Epic Win, zero lag).
    I finally got rid of the Citizens config and requested that my users don't put more than 4 Npc each. (Which can bring the total to 40 NPCs, it's a little server) with the new config. Since then, the latency is just perfect.

    I'll keep checking for improvements of course, and trying to setup the best solution. ;)

    Hello,

    Great plugin. favorite on my server. I'd really like to see more settings for the blacksmith. I looked over the wiki and it appears there isn't anymore advanced options. For example for [gold armor helmet id] cost[10 gold] compared to [bronze armor helmet id] for [10 coal] or something along those lines. I don't use iconomy and I rather avoid it. If you could add something like this for people who want a bit more control over each item it'd do me wonders, I appreciate it. Thanks.
